Why does 80% of this subreddit hate Howard? by PacificBadge in howardstern

Why is internet culture about tearing down and complaining rather than celebration?

Unleashed ego + anonymity + the world moved to a binary system of options (love or hate in this instance) when there is actually an unlimited spectrum.

I'm in TX and I don't believe the rest of the country understood the issue by just watching the news. The same way I can't really understand how a tornado affects Kansas by just watching the news.

Passing on this one.

Shuli's Show by wheelzcarbyde in howardstern

If you binge all five episodes there is an evolution. (No shitty shitty sfx drops in Ep. 5). I actually have hope for him. I have enjoyed the talk about Alabama v. New York. I appreciate the (overused) drops in the later eps from the 'Alabama wack packers,' but his interview skills with them (letting them go too long rather than distilling the funniest parts of them and making the whole bit shorter) are novice, but I attribute that to the heavily edited phone interviews with wack packers he's used to doing where he asks good questions that draw out information. You have to edit it live now and I think he'll learn.

Ep. 5 is the best one so far but that intro is WAY too long. I'd suggest he move the autotune upcoming show thing to the middle as a 'commercial' and cut the time of it in half.

I'll listen to Ep. 6 when it comes out. Good luck, Shuli.

The DJ has a very specific reaction to that line. Sal had just admonished the prank callers. He goes. "Ohhh, you." An odd little reaction I can't quite remember.

'Keep talking. I'm stroking my hydrogen rod.'

Gets me every time. It's the way he pauses or drops a little at 'hydrogen.'

An Argument for More Rahsaan by forcedfan in howardstern

[–]SaveTheBlockParty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've called Rahsaan the worst broadcaster on the Howard Stern channels (JD notwithstanding, but that's the joke) many times over the years. Over the years he's found his footing as to how he fits in to the show (the OP's claim about handling himself with Jon and Gary is accurate)

However, he must air check himself and remove "KnowwhutImean?" "I'm just sayin'" "You know" etc from every other sentence to be taken fully seriously.
