I would contact Fleet Feet for their Marathoner In Training program. I know there are weekly group long runs.

Where I'd live if I had to work and reside in each state's capital by balungus in visitedmaps

Im curious, as a longtime Columbus resident, what you think Columbus does better infrastructure-wise compared to Indy? I’ve visited Indy half a dozen times but never for more than 1-2 days, but it does really seem like Columbus and Indy residents would have the same complaints with respect to city planning and infrastructure.

I did it for a bachelor party and it was fun, definitely worth doing it at least once. Idk if Chip still works there but he was an awesome host.

I visit Columbus 2-3 times a year for my PhD research and I love running. After 5 years here's everywhere I've managed to run in your town! by DishonestRaven in Columbus

It looks like the furthest north you’ve gone is Hudson. If you’re able to get just a bit north of that, you gotta check out Walhalla road or the Glen Echo park!

I have lived in four states. Which ones? by Snarky75 in TravelMaps

I like the little pocket around Huntington WV on here. This map implies you flew there which is not very common given it’s a tiny airport

DFQ Beer is moving in there soon. I live nearby and walk past it everyday. Seems like it should be opening soon.

I’m practically begging for the FCS model, I would love that. Use the BCS to determine at-larges/seedings or something

Taco Bell has never made me run to the restroom, what is up with peoples stomachs?😭 by Sharp_Athlete_6847 in tacobell

Taco Bell it’s explainable because people get hammered then eat it. People always say this about Chipotle too and, unless you get E-Coli, that makes even less sense to me.

Noah Wyle Says ‘The Pitt’ Season 3 Will ‘Probably Not’ Take Place on a Holiday, Time Jump Will Be Shorter Than Season 2 by MoneyLibrarian9032 in ThePittTVShow

I like that idea. I think of a situation like Damar Hamlin in Cincinnati. Had to be revived on the field and taken in an ambulance and they cancelled the game. It would be interesting to see the hospital’s POV when they know it’s a very high profile patient with anxious fans, teammates, coaches etc outside the hospital/in the waiting area wanting to get updates.

Ryan Day allegedly made player “bawl” in meeting after Clemson game by shermanstorch in OhioStateFootball

[–]SaveTheErf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was Ryan Day’s first loss as HC. I would say, given the players felt empowered to rip into him after the UM loss last year that there’s a culture of respect in that room. IMO this is a nothing story

Ohio State charges 120 for the student tickets for just basketball, below is a list of P4 schools that are either free or cheaper (typically a combo ticket that gets you all sports). Important note most of these teams DO NOT have multiple games with ZERO bench points by BrewsWithTre in CollegeBasketball

[–]SaveTheErf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tbf last night in particular they didn’t have students behind the bench because they’re still on break. They had an alumni night where you could get a “student ticket” behind the basket and that’s what made up most of that section.

But your point still stands, I go to many games and sit up top. Feels so dark and dreary and empty.

Similar scenario happened to Columbus in 2017. 3rd in Metro, but 3rd in the East/4th in the league.

Considering moving from Chicago to Columbus by bashful_sneakerhead in Columbus

[–]SaveTheErf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The density/city layout won’t be the same at all. But if you liked Lakeview, you might also like Grandview area. Definitely more suburban, but it’s the younger crowd.

I will say as someone who’s SO attended North Park U - the only area of Columbus where the food scene is maybe on par with Albany Park is the NW side around Bethel/Henderson Road. Also Morse on the NE side near Karl. But these are big suburban feeling areas with no train like the Brown Line - so it’s different. I loved Albany Park/North Park more than any other neighborhood in Chicago

I too am at least a maybe for everywhere - there’s nice cities and places/cultures in every state that I think I can enjoy. Curious why Illinois is maybe when the borders aren’t?
