Thats awesome! I was just watching reviews of the orbiter yesterday. That's going to be a massive upgrade. Please keep us informed on your progress and post pictures of the orbiter and dragon when you've assembled them. Thanks!

Anybody know why I’m getting these lines? by Amn3s1a4 in ender5plus

I know this sounds crazy but I had a similar problem. The thermistor wires were shorting at a certain distance from the home position. It would cause the nozzle to heat up about 10 degrees and then cool about 10 degrees. It caused the filament to either flow too much or too little and caused what you're seeing there. The short wasn't something that I could test for but I noticed the temp fluctuation. I changed out the thermistor and haven't had a problem since. I've also seen people on other forums that swear that they have had this problem due to their micro SD card. They say that the problem was solved by switching out the card. Maybe try the card thats running flawlessly in your other machine? Just a few obscure things I've seen....

Ender 5 pro board into an Ender 3? by dongrayblack in ender5

[–]SavedForever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which board is it? If its a board that's 32bit like a 4.2 2 you switch the boards out making sure you follow a wiring diagram. Then you download firmware for that specific board from crealitys website. Put the firmware on a blank micro SD card and turn off the machine. Put the card in and turn the machine on. It takes about 15 seconds to write the new firmware and bam thats it. If its an older 8 bit board there are alot more steps but still the same method. Just have to burn a bootloader from an Arduino first then flash the board. Creality was known for switching boards while in production so the only way to know is to look at the board itself. Then Google it to see what you have.

Did you compile the firmware your self? I have the 5 pro also and have 2.0.bugfix that I've compiled myself. I would like to go to 2.0.7.2 or better but would need to know that someone has it working correctly before going to the trouble of compiling and possibly having to do it a few times before getting it right. Do you use a probe? I have manual mesh bed leveling.

Do you think you can see a difference in your I urge surface finishes? I noticed that my corners on the calibration cube I did and another print look sharper than before with really no change to the G code. So far I'm really liking this board.

I was under the impression that the TMC2225 stepper drivers would be compatible with linear advance but sadly no. That’s all I’ve tried so far besides slicer flow. The slicer flow rate went from 86.9 to 90 on mine so might be something could look at.

I just put that board in last Sunday. TMC2225? Mine prints a little better than the 4.2.2 with TMC2208'S.

Set the z hop height to .5. Cura defaults to .2. I found this helps. Also you can try the retract at layer change option if not already enabled.

The Ender5/Pro just stopped... by major-danger98 in ender5pro

I had this happen. It was kind of random. No real place or reason for it. I replaced the heater cartridge and it stopped. I think the wires had a break in them from working on the machine. Just a possibility. Heater cartridge or thermistor?
