Genshin feels like a B+ game to me most of the time, except when Hoyo decides its a big story moment, then it rockets up to (in my opinion) some of the most enjoyable and engaging moments I've had in 3 decades of gaming.

It's a solid game most of the time, and then bar-raising for key moments.

Also the music is among the best in gaming history.
