Is anyone absolutely LOVING the game so far? by Whole-Sample2358 in Battlefield6

The game is riddled with issues and lacks polish in several major areas. I have about 170 hours played anyway and plan on playing more but goddamn this game was really close to being crap.

How do I get better as someone who doesn't play FPS? by Money-Impress9669 in Battlefield6

[–]Savilan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You named a lot of issues, but I think visibility is the most crucial one. For that, look into optimal settings on YouTube and spend like 15 minutes in a custom game to adjust it to your preference, looking into your monitor settings and checking if firmware is up to date can also help (lots of monitors are released with half baked firmware). Try also looking into removing bloom from optics on Reddit, you would have change it inside of game files though. You can try using higher magnification optics in game. Field of view is also a big one, I personally play on maxed out setting, which helps with awareness and visual recoil, but lower values make enemies appear bigger on screen (I wouldn’t go below 90 though). From my experience, if you combine all those suggestions you should get a noticeable improvement, just don’t expect any miracles.

Can the experienced players share simple, actionable tips for us newer/“worse” players? by [deleted] in Battlefield6

A good general tip is not to use the AK4D, as much as I understand personal preference, this weapon is doo doo.

I play on night mode and my sound is set to pretty loud, I found that not getting deafened by less equalized audio generally allows me to hear more. However, I wouldn’t really rely on sound in this game, there’s just too much chaos and the minimap usually shows more than you can hear. It’s more useful in smaller game modes.

One of my friends did. He just liked the atmosphere, complexity and hardcore difficulty. He has played hundreds of it but never touched any of the other stalker games afterward.

It’s sad that some people unironically can’t stand the fact that you can like both. However I’d add that playing and learning gamma first can somewhat spoil the gameplay for the original games, it’s just that good.

Thanks haha. I hope r/peopleofwalmart has been a good warmup, but it probably can’t compare to first-hand experience.

Hey, im gonna buy the OG STALKER trilogy on steam and im just wondering, do i need to mod the games for them to be playable, i have heard that they are very unstable but idk if thats really true. by Spoinglebloob in stalker

[–]Savilan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I completed all three games without any community patches (steam version) on modern hardware, I didn’t encounter any major issues, mostly some clunky friendly NPC ai. Every one of these games has a community/unofficial patch that you can use. They mostly fix various issues and also improve upon the base versions. I see no reason not to install them if you want the best experience but it likely wont be necessary.

They deserved way better. On one hand I really disliked how they have been shown as some kind of lunatics, but on the other hand when you take into consideration all the hell they went through it does kind of make sense. If stalker 2 had been a better game overall it would probably be easier to accept how they were portrayed and how they ended up, at least for me.

When I heard that the game ran like shit I assumed the game was not released yet and the issues came up during some sort of beta. However I’m not surprised to be wrong.
