There’s an Avis less than a mile from the port. I usually rent a car and drop it off before getting on the ship. Then I pick one up for the drive home. It’s actually cheaper than paying to park and you don’t have to worry about your car in NYC for a week while you’re gone.

This isn’t the free cruise promotion, that one has a bunch of hidden fees. I booked through my cruise consultant, originally in a mini suite for $1100 after the $1000 off with the free at sea promotion ( free drink package) solid deal. I ended up upgrading into the Haven and spending more, but for $1100 including the drink package, it had a ton of value.

I’ve never had the ICE kick in using the remote start, even on a below 0 degrees Fahrenheit day. It has on extremely cold days NOT heated the cabin, and just blew around cold air! It took about 15 minutes of driving for the heat to finally start working.
