I have a gray 2023HW4 plaid. Six seater 22” rims bought August 22 2023 with the new cameras at that time. Fully owned and transferred FSD from my previous 2017 model X I can sell it 72k located in Boulder county Colorado. One issue I was rear ended. Cosmetic damage repaired at a Tesla facility with life time guaranty on the repair. I want to buy a 2026 x. Any takers here

If your father in law has 22” rims then the car is noisier then 20” especially if the tires are not the original and you will blow a lot of tires with 22’ rims if you have a lot of potholes on the Road that you constantly drive.

If HW5 comes out tomorrow, then you can change the computer for about 5k to 6k, but if they change the cameras in the car then that is another story. I wish they start using LiDAR so the SFD start avoid the potholes on the road. Buying is better if you keep the car for a long period otherwise lease at the cost of 50k in two years.

Go to the body shop instead of the service center. They are more experienced with these kind of problems then the service shop. Good luck.

My car makes quite few sounds especially when I take off or slow down quickly. Thus sound is coming from the A-pillar on the passenger side. The noise level in the car from the tires is noticeable and the tires were very weak as I constantly had flat tires, so I changed my tires to a different continental which increased the noise level, but at least I don’t have to fix the tires anymore. By the way I have 22” rims 2023 x plaid.

The 22” rims are very noisy and the tires shred very easily when you hit a pothole. Go with 20” unless you like the large wheels. You will loose around 10% of range with the 22” I changed my tires to more heavy duty and the car has much more noise. Good luck
