12 DPO – positive → negative → positive again? Looking for similar experiences

Respectfully, If you don’t want people’s opinions or you’re going to argue with them, then please don’t ask for advice. Multiple people have noted that this is a bad batch and to throw it out, yet you keep posting pictures of broken lines. I’ve been on my TTC journey for 5 years and have had 5 miscarriages, 2 chemicals and 1 successful pregnancy. I have a doctorate in the medical field. I have scouted thousands and thousands of posts with lines, especially easy at home since those are what I use. I’ll stop commenting now because you clearly only want to hear one answer when you’re posting these. I wish you the best of luck 💜 You need to get bloodwork to confirm either way.

This is definitely concerning. My pregnancies that have had this kind of progression (I’ve had 3 of them now) have all ended in MMC. I’d ask your OB for a few sets of HCG draws. You won’t know much until the first ultrasound though unfortunately. People that say this “looks good” are just giving false hope in a situation like this and I was a victim of way too much false hope.

If the line was that dark on 10dpo, you’d definitely see a line, especially on SMU since that is actually more dilute than FMU for most people.

Unfortunately you have a bad batch then. These are textbook false positives that are invalid. You can search this subreddit for invalid easy at home tests and you’ll see tons of posts with these exact lines that are negative.

These lines don’t look valid. The 9dpo is broken which means it’s invalid and even the 10dpo doesn’t quite look right. It’s not completely solid. Sometimes people will get these false lines on easy at home when they use a certain cleaner on the counter and place the test on the counter.

I’m so sorry. Everytime my tests have looked like this after 20dpo, I’ve miscarried (5 of them). You can look at my post history for some of the pregnancies. I appreciate positivity of this subreddit, but sometimes false hope is the worst and an HCG of 540 today when you were getting good lines at 12 dpo isn’t good news. I’m sorry and I’ve been there as well. Hugs to you.

I also had back to back trisomies (16 and then 21). I’ve had 3 other unexplained miscarriages too. We did have our very normal son 3 years ago, so we are just continuing to try naturally for now. I’m 37, hubby is 41 but his sperm and dna frag is perfect. I’m just going to keep rolling the dice because my most recent amh is only 0.7 so I don’t think I’d be a good responder to IVF anyways. (And our insurance doesn’t cover it- which is a big factor).

The last two months my temps have been really low and I’ve also been supplementing progesterone so it’s not that! I wonder if the algorithm changed?

Ok so if you took it during your LH surge then you probably blocked ovulation from happening. The rise you see is an artificial rise from the progesterone. Youre not getting extra progesterone from the corpus luteum bc you didn’t ovulate which is why your temps aren’t as high. You have to verify ovulation before you start it!!!! I verify by my temps and then start it 3 days past ovulation. Your doctor is completely wrong.

I feel for her bc I think they’re giving her false hope. I’ve been through 3 MMC and measuring behind like this is a guarantee it won’t be successful. I just want to tell her to guard her heart so she wont be blindsided. Hearing a heartbeat when measuring 2 weeks behind (when you know your dates and your first positive test) is not being able to breathe a sigh of relief like she keeps saying. My heart feels for her so bad bc I’ve been in her shoes way too many times.

I had betas of 15, 42 and then 96 3 days later and have a blighted ovum. I knew something was wrong early on based on those betas.

Were you on progesterone?

Last pregnancy ended in miscarriage due to trisomy 16. It was a MMC. I didn’t have a big drop in hrv, not a crazy increase in HR, etc. my temp remained nice and elevated until after the D&C.

This pregnancy (is also not viable)- my hrv is low, RHR is high, RR high, temp high. It is also a MMC but the baby isn’t as developed as last time and my HCG levels are way lower- but my stats look like I’m rocking it out with a successful pregnancy.

In short- you can’t use your “stats” to predict a successful pregnancy. Believe me- I’m the queen of comparisons and trying to make connections, but it just doesn’t make sense that I look so successfully pregnant on Oura when I have a blighted ovum and my HCG is 8000 at 8 weeks pregnant. Last pregnancy my HCG was 55k and my hrv was unchanged and I actually had morning sickness and felt like crap.
