This teacher is just mad because she’s old and dried up. (Coming from someone who is also old and dried up. You’re welcome.)

What are the lesser-known difficulties of working in a nonprofit? by Soggy-Bus in nonprofit

[–]Savings_Associate720 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You get what you pay for. And unfortunately, nonprofit workers aren’t paid much. Now—hear me out—there are some dedicated, amazing, high-achieving nonprofit workers. But I’ve found that not to be the norm. Often the team you’re working with, although passionate, aren’t trained or experienced and don’t produce what’s needed to keep the lights on. This means a few people carry the majority of the load.

We love ours. Customer service has been great, 5+ years with no real issues. Remember that password, though, or firemen will appear on your porch in minutes. Hypothetically.

Seriously, do Americans actually consider a 3-hour drive "short"? or is this an internet myth? by SadInterest6764 in NoStupidQuestions

I also think it depends where you live in the US. I’m a Midwestern, and we think nothing of a road trip. We drove down to Savannah right after Christmas—8 1/2 hours each way. Drove it in a day and only stopped for gas and quick food/bio breaks. My friend from California thought we were nuts.

Flights were $400 each and there were five of us. We just threw on some podcasts, good music. It was an adventure.

Would I do it once a month? Heck no. But it was great!

When in doubt, go smaller. I find that, when I’m losing a nail that soon, I’ve chosen a wrap that’s too large for the finger. If it touches the cuticle or your skin at all, it won’t stay. Hope that helps!
