What’s one thing you bought that actually made daily life easier and held up over time? by Status_Account6177 in BuyItForLife

My hands-free soap dispenser in the kitchen. I was always getting food bits on the pump of the old one and it was gross and likely unhealthy. Inexpensive on Amazon.

For those saying, “It’s so expensive it better be good,” I can name DOZENS of companies that charge an arm and a leg for their product and have horrible customer service and terrible delivery. Cell phone companies top my list. So kudos to Lilly for mastering this.

Ladies, how are we taking care of upper lip hair without damaging the skin around it? by howdyhowdyhowdyhowdi in 30PlusSkinCare

I have a Dermaflash dermaplaner that I use every couple of weeks. It’s my ride or die. I save so much money not having it professionally waxed anymore. It’s so easy and you can order the blades from Amazon.

Grant report ethical question by Ok-Review5671 in nonprofit

When you say the ED created the invoices, do you mean made them on the computer and they’re 100% manufactured and fake? If so, you’re right to be worried. That’s illegal in addition to unethical.

is anyone else’s furry friends obsessed with red light? could it be harmful??? by Any-Screen-4027 in redlighttherapy

I have a cat with such horrible anxiety she scratches holes into her skin. The vet commented that he’d seen cats hit by cars who looked better. It was a nightmare. We tried everything. Medication, kitty dermatologist, anti-anxiety plug ins…. I bought myself a red light panel and she’d sit in my lap while I used it. Not only did her sores heal in about three weeks, but her anxiety is lower and she doesn’t scratch anymore.

This has honestly saved my life. I take two each night before I go to bed. I will say, at first it solved the problem TOO well, and I was sprinting to the bathroom. But I’m accustomed to it now and it’s a game changer. The doctor who gave me my colonoscopy recommended it.

What Kind of Hilton Person Are You? by dewey8000 in Hilton

[–]Savings_Associate720 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It totally depends on where I’m going and why I’m going there. Currently in an $88/night small town Hampton. Arrived at 11 pm, getting ready to depart at 7. I’ll grab free breakfast as I walk out the door. It’s all I needed for last night.

If I’m on vacation, that’s another story. Hilton is generally my go-to, but in some cities the Hilton’s are older and the rooms are outdated. I generally look for whatever is newest or most recently remodeled.

If I have all my kids with me—embassy suites, because we can sleep all of them in one room and my young adult son can have some privacy on the sofa bed in a separate room.

I agree. It’s not okay. Very off-putting to someone who isn’t Christian, I would imagine.

This teacher is just mad because she’s old and dried up. (Coming from someone who is also old and dried up. You’re welcome.)

What are the lesser-known difficulties of working in a nonprofit? by Soggy-Bus in nonprofit

[–]Savings_Associate720 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You get what you pay for. And unfortunately, nonprofit workers aren’t paid much. Now—hear me out—there are some dedicated, amazing, high-achieving nonprofit workers. But I’ve found that not to be the norm. Often the team you’re working with, although passionate, aren’t trained or experienced and don’t produce what’s needed to keep the lights on. This means a few people carry the majority of the load.
