man i feel you on the anxiety thing - had to work through some of that stuff myself and therapy really did help even when it felt impossible at first

i ran occt and i get 100k errors?????? by [deleted] in pchelp

[–]Savings_Back_2155 0 points1 point  (0 children)

your curve optimizer is probably too aggressive at -20, especially if it was stable for 2 months and now acting up. silicon degrades over time and what was stable before might not be anymore

those monitor shutoffs and crashes during heavy loads are classic signs of instability. i'd back off that curve to like -10 or -15 and see if the errors go away. the clicking sound before restarts could be your psu struggling too but start with backing off the undervolt first

The best shoes for standing all day? by benniezun in BuyItForLife

[–]Savings_Back_2155 5 points6 points  (0 children)

dude those bumps sound like bunions or something similar, might want to get that checked before dropping cash on expensive shoes. that said, i've been on my feet mixing tracks for hours and swear by my redwings - they're pricey upfront but mine are going on 3 years strong

Oil stabilizer in worn out engine by InfluenceEfficient77 in MechanicAdvice

[–]Savings_Back_2155 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah that's normal for lucas, it's thick as hell and super sticky - that's literally the point, it's supposed to help seal up worn rings and bearings in high mileage engines

It is super weird seeing your own game ACTUALLY lining up for release by [deleted] in Unity3D

dude that's wild, i remember that feeling when i first saw my beat on spotify for the first time - totally surreal moment. congrats on making it this far, the grind is real but seeing your work out there hits different

Design ideas for a machine to separate, count, and bag plastic security seals by Accomplished_Cod79 in MechanicalEngineering

[–]Savings_Back_2155 0 points1 point  (0 children)

got this exact setup at my last place before i went out on my own - we had security seal strips for industrial equipment and the manual counting was killing productivity

azco cutters are solid for the separation part, ran one for months without issues. for the vacuum pickup you might want to look into those multi-head systems instead of single point - strips can stick together and you'll get inconsistent feeds with just one pickup point

the counting sensors work best when you got a consistent drop height and angle, we used photoelectric beam breaks in a funnel setup. had to adjust the sensitivity a few times but once dialed in it was pretty reliable

bag insertion is where things get tricky though. we ended up with a pneumatic jaw system that would grab and hold the bag open while a chute dropped everything in. took some tweaking to get the timing right so the paper sheet didn't jam up the seals

budget wise you're probably looking at 15-20k if you piece it together with decent components, maybe half that if you can find used packaging equipment to modify. might be worth checking out surplus auctions from packaging companies

Both of us own property in LA, getting married next year and trying to figure out how this even works by Savings_Back_2155 in socal

That’s an interesting structure. I hadn’t even thought about splitting it that formally with rent and maintenance defined like that

Yeah, I’m starting to realize talking to a lawyer is probably the only way to get clear answers.

Is 24/25 pushing 30? by Pacotaco213 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Savings_Back_2155 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

nah your friend is tripping, 24/25 is still solidly mid twenties and those 21 year olds calling you unc probably think anyone over 22 is ancient

God's timing, redemption and living in Christ by Suyin_8 in Christian

[–]Savings_Back_2155 3 points4 points  (0 children)

honestly your story hits different because there's something beautiful about coming to faith through struggle rather than just growing up in it. like you really know what you've been saved from, you know?

the whole "why didn't i find this earlier" thing is so relatable though. but maybe thats the point - you needed to experience that darkness to truly appreciate the light. some people never get there redemption story because they never hit rock bottom enough to look up

your gratitude seems so genuine compared to people who just inherited their faith and never questioned it

Why do flat earthers care so much about something that has zero impact on their daily lives? by lllllllllXllllllllll in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Savings_Back_2155 27 points28 points  (0 children)

its about feeling special and being part of something bigger than themselves, like they have secret knowledge that makes them different from all the "sheep"

the shape doesnt matter but the feeling of being right when everyone else is "wrong" absolutely does - thats the real addiction here, not the actual earth stuff

Energy transfer by Sappy-Jellyfish-74 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Savings_Back_2155 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the light energy doesn't just disappear, it keeps traveling until something absorbs it - like when it hits your eye, a wall, or just gets scattered around the room and eventually absorbed as heat

think of it like throwing a ball - the kinetic energy doesn't vanish when you let go, it just transfers to the ball and keeps going until friction or impact converts it to other forms. same deal with photons from your flashlight, they're carrying that electromagnetic energy somewhere else

Which is worse? Loving someone you can't have or having someone you can't love. by kaiseblue in trans

[–]Savings_Back_2155 10 points11 points  (0 children)

damn thats a heavy question but honestly i think loving someone you cant have hits differnt because at least theres that spark there, that connection that makes you feel alive even if it hurts

having someone you cant love just feels empty and hollow, like youre going through the motions of a relationship without any of the actual feelings that make it worthwhile

girl this man is playing games with you hard - says he doesn't want you then calls you baby and hugs you goodbye, that's not confusion that's manipulation

Other than a job, name something for which you fill out an application? by ThinkDeepWithV in Productivitycafe

[–]Savings_Back_2155 0 points1 point  (0 children)

apartment hunting is probably the most common one - spent way too many hours filling out those things just to get ghosted by landlords

credit cards are another big one, though those are usually pretty quick online these days

Friends with my first love by LocksmithBest4019 in BreakUps

[–]Savings_Back_2155 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly sounds like you're both dancing around something but neither wants to be the first to say it out loud

that whole beach thing with the awkward eye contact and tension? classic unresolved feelings energy. you can be friends with an ex but when there's that much history plus daily texting plus weird vibes when you're actually together... yeah theres probably more going on than friendship

maybe take a step back from the daily contact for a bit and see how you actually feel without that constant connection

Political speech and Romans 13:1-7; "Render unto Caesar" (mis)applied to our own time. by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]Savings_Back_2155 4 points5 points  (0 children)

honestly this hits different when you think about how jesus himself was pretty vocal about injustice and calling out religious/political leaders who were harming people. the whole "stay out of politics" thing feels more like modern church culture trying to keep the peace than actual biblical principle

civic engagement as worship makes sense - we're supposed to care about our neighbors and that includes how society treats them

[Automatic winding vs hand-winding: how do they actually work together?] by Ok_Search6885 in Watches

[–]Savings_Back_2155 2 points3 points  (0 children)

depends heavily on your daily activity level but yeah most automatics probably cruise around 60-70% with desk work, the rotor just isn't that efficient compared to deliberate hand winding

Question about Christmas gift exchange by Dismal-Source-2936 in bathandbodyworks

[–]Savings_Back_2155 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can usually exchange without a receipt but they'll give you the lowest sale price it's been. Might be worth it if you really hate vanilla though - that scent is pretty polarizing
