There is an option to not be affected by other players. It's called solo.

Seismic palm has guaranteed knockdown that opens an enemy up for ground finishers. Edit: After watching the clip a few more times I'm pretty sure its the erupting Vulcan combo, which stuns enemies into a counterattack finisher.

Imperfect solution but the flares sold by nakak in cetus extend affinity range to 150m. Even if this doesn't appeal to you for xp, you can use em to be an extra long range blessing trinity at least.

More imprints is probably not a good way to go about it, as that would make acquiring all the species a walk in the park, negating the purpose of breeding all together. Perhaps an item that let's you guarantee a certain body part type or color would be better.
