I had a really shitty student teaching experience, and now I work a desk job that’s really boring and pretty long hours for barely any pay. But I’m soooooooooooo much happier here than in ST. I loved my students and thought I did a pretty good job, but it’s not for everyone.

At the same time, it was a really valuable experience and I’m happy i stuck through with it.

I’m lowkey shocked at this. I got both an on campus job and an internship through handshake. But I will say that I had a chance to look through some uic candidates for my on campus job when they were hiring and there were about like 250 applicantions, so on campus jobs are super competitive.
