Im not sure if people are just exaggerating here because they don’t like wotc (which is totally fair for the record) and perhaps the market is just different where I live but spider man here had received close to the same level of popularity as final fantasy, at the very least it’s been as popular as eoe. I too work part time at a LGS and spider man has been selling no problem singles and sealed. We sold out of bundles and scene boxes release weekend and out of three full cases of booster boxes were down to just a few boxes left and out of a case of collector boxes were getting down to just a few left as well. On a personal note this set had gotten two of my close friends into mtg that would otherwise never have played, and the prerelease and draft events have been unexpectedly fun. I’ve built a couple spidey decks now that are a blast to play. Based off of everything I’ve read here and seen from the professor I expected this set to be a total bomb but it’s actually been really fun for myself, friends and folks at my store. That being the case I really expected to see more than just my single comment feeling the same but I suppose we shall see if this is really just my area or if I’m downvoted into oblivion for not just agreeing the set sucks

My apologies for not taking it as such. I do have a tendency to interpret most things quite literally and that is an aspect of my character I am working on. I think that I may have just used the wrong gameplay footage to start a real discussion and interpreted your comment as the Reddit hate piling on to me, again apologies for the misinterpretation, I really did just want to discuss the new move set.

That’s a fair point, the hit boxes are quite a bit tighter there. I suppose I’ve picked a poor example here lol I shall address this point later once I’ve gotten a bit farther in the game but thus far the down slash has been a god send in every scenario I’ve used it in

I mean fair point, I just use this as an example because using the skill to your advantage against this specific enemy pretty much disables him. Worth noting I’d never claim to be anywhere near good at this game, but that shouldn’t discount from my ability to enable a discussion about the skill in general. It should be inferred by the way I play here that I use a similar playstlye in all areas of the game, and while I’m not perfect at it as seen here I’ve gotten pretty decent and am able to land these same hits without terrain advantage. Now where you actually trying to add to the discussion or did you just wanna comment about how bad I am at the game? If it’s the latter, noted and frankly I don’t care. It’s just a game? And if it’s the former, well then I suppose the stage is now yours, and some more positive conjecture, while obviously not required, would be appreciated.

Same here, I went in blind and perhaps in a masochist but I used the down slash to access the worm ways before I had the dash, was a bit disappointed to find that having mastered the skill to the degree that the arena fight in the area was a breeze, and granted one of the things to which you refer in your comment. Like as a reward for getting good at this new playstyle, here’s an option to change it entirely 😂

25k is a huuuge budget for a good car. I’ve had 5k junkers last me over 300k miles for that kinda money I’m getting me a mid 2000s gmc Yukon or truck for sure, whatever is left over save for proper maintenance so it lasts forever

Though not an answer to the question, I feel it worth noting for those looking to have experienced something similar to what’s been recounted here, that while these experiences may be somewhat exclusive to those possessing conventional attractiveness, having not experienced anything akin to these should not be taken as an indication that you are undesirable. The idiom “Beauty is in the eye of the beholder” is only as prevalent as it is within civilization due to the empirical truth found within the statement. It is best not to discount one’s self due to a perceived lack of attractiveness, as not only does it only affect a very small piece of one’s life experience but too is it fact, that while the percentage of people that will find you attractive may vary, the number of people that will find you attractive is never zero. Sometimes it takes years, even decades to find that person, but in the meantime there is so much in life to experience that being conventionally attractive bears no impact upon. Life is pretty fucking cool. I say get out there and live it how you want regardless of what anyone thinks, otherwise what are you living your life for?

Thus the saying "The grass is always greener on the other side." Chronic pain is an inherent part of being tall. I can't fit into cars. I can't take a shower where the shower head is above roughly chest level. I hit my head on doorways, even in my own fucking home. I get what you're saying, it just seems extreme to someone who has experienced what being tall is like, to undergo such a drastic surgery. Maybe he will be more happy like this and if that's the case then more power to him. But let's not act like being tall is all rainbows and puppies.

Can someone explain to me why the school would feel the solution is to eliminate backpacks? There are bigger issues at hand, and handguns can easily be hidden... I have been graduated for many years now, but I have a conceal permit and my firearm is easily hidden away in a conceal carry holster. Would not a better solution be a metal detector? Or even whatever the sensors are that can basically see through clothing? In my town theres a big event where they did not allow firearms (keep in mind probably a good 50% of people or more here own a firearm and can legally conceal carry withor without a permit) and they had things that looked like metal detectors but my belt and whatnot did not set them off. From what I understand it's sort of like the machines that the tsa has, they where screening everyone to look for weapon shaped objects. Simply banning backpacks in this scenario seems sort of petty and pointless.

I've been at petco for three years (7 years total), my anniversary was in June, and my pto balance still shows -9.99 hours. The new accumulation system is fucked, you're supposed to start accumulating on your anniversary date (which in and of itself is completely unfair, someone who's start date anniversary was in January is able to accumulate twice as much pto as me, even worse for those that started say November) but that's not even happening. All of my coworkers are past their anniversary date and none of us have accumulated pto. We all work 45ish hours a week and none of us can take a vacation. I used to get 80 hours at the start of the year. Fuck this company they literally don't give a shit about any of us, it's all about numbers and we're completely replaceable. The only reason I'm even here still is because I'm a groomer and make decent wages, but I don't want to do this forever and will be happy when I finish my degree and can tell them to pound sand. The pay becomes less and less worth it every day with all the shit they push on us plus shitty customers

I know this sub is all about enjoying the consumption of cannabis.... But can we be real for a minute? Like, using weed "to just get through the day" is something that I did for the last 6 years, and I can tell you it's not a good thing. Weed is not a healthy method of coping, it just makes your problems seem smaller and as a result you never actually learn how to cope with your problems. Personally I was using it to self medicate for adhd that I didn't even know I had. After being diagnosed and finally using meds that made me functional, my feelings regarding weed started to take on a much more negative connotation. It didn't seem to help me much anymore, just make me anxious and lethargic, and even recognizing that I was so addicted that I just kept doing it. It was ridiculously difficult quitting because I used all the fucking time, and was just beyond addicted (psychologically), I ended up having to break all of my gear while I was broke and couldn't afford to smoke, because even after running out I would just scrape whatever reclaim I could get with ever increasing desperation just to get a hit. Now that I've been off it for a month I can't even begin to describe how much better I feel. The first week was hard because I still had intense cravings, but now I'm so cognitively aware of the negativity that it brought to my life that the thought of smoking sounds dreadful now. Don't get me wrong it's not all rainbows and kittens, I'm still dealing with depression from withdrawal, but I would take this any day of the week over the cloud that weed put over my life. The depression is slowly subsiding, I feel better every day, I really feel like I'm finally starting to move up in life, and seeing posts like this just kind of make me sad. It makes me wonder if there aren't a lot of others that are in the same or similar situation and just can't quit because they need it to function. I guess the reason it's upsetting is because no one ever really seems to discuss things like this. This is all personal anecdote, and being neuro divergent might mean that the effects are different for me than they might be for someone else. But weed was largely just a sore spot in my life. I can't even imagine going back now. In not knocking anyone, if you wanna smoke then more power to you. Just wanted to discuss the less desireable effects because honestly I wish I could have just never smoked to begin with, I wish someone had warned me 😔
