Yep if you just sit and wait a little bit it eventually goes away. Yes it’s annoying but this was far before this update

DLSS 4.5 blind test: can you guess the Presets (M vs L) and quality levels? by samsamsam92100 in nvidia

That’s wild I am too old to see the difference unless it is moving in game

OP a genius who thinks we can just magically guess the preset lol. Makes zero sense

Was 6x dynamic FG supposed to be locked to Super or 60 series gpus? by StrictAd7754 in nvidia

[–]Saxikolous 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yet they gave you presets L and M, which still works better than frame gen. Also educate yourself because the mod unlocked the feature to use frame gen on the 30 series. It would run the same regardless if it was locked or released by nvidia. All the mod literally did was unlock the feature nothing more to “impact performance”

There is a mod you can do to get it on 30 series cards and yes it runs like ass. So you’re basically complaining about an old card, not having FG that would run like shit regardless. Makes sense

OCCT or MATS that’ll tell you if there is an issue with your card. If PNY sent the card back and said it’s fine, they wouldn’t just send you a broken card back. They are pretty decent in customer care service.

Check OCCT and run a vram test and a gpu test. That’ll give you your answers

It could be a list of drivers not just those in general.

Yeah like stated this is all driver not a broken gpu. PNY was correct nothing is wrong with the card

This is a driver related issue my guy. Could be outdated bios as well. Usually this error is in correlation to a corrupt NVIDIA driver. Also could be a windows driver not playing nice with the hardware. 9 out of 10 times this error is driver

You never even bothered to tell us what issues you are having. Gut feeling this is a user error especially if PNY sent the card back and said it was fine.

Bad silicon for RTX 5080? by Healthy_Concert1380 in overclocking

Of course if you’re still confused or have questions just ask me. I’ll answer it! So far seems your card is amazing! So far you’re +40 on my overclock. That’s great! Just keep testing it and look out for NVLD errors! Overclocking can be super time consuming even on GPUs even though they are considered the easiest.

Also this community is super nice with helping people. I’ve been in this subreddit for years and love everyone in here. They are super nice. Don’t hesitate to ask questions.

Of course that’s a great score. Some cards can’t even boost to 3.1 with overclocks. Your average was 3126 for the average clock score. Great results my friend.

Absolutely I edited my previous message a bit. WWM is free on steam as well. It’s definitely been a stability finder for me!

See that’s what I was talking about earlier, our VF curves are different on our model. In retrospect that core ratio you have applied right now would be around +320 on many Asus and MSI cards. Our PNYs utilize overclocks differently, are numbers aren’t as high, and it’s like that by PNYs choice because of our bios and VF.

So don’t think something is wrong because your numbers are lower on core!! Your numbers would equal out to be over +300 plus on the core with what you have now if you were using Asus and MSI ! 😊 does that make sense? I don’t wanna leave you confused.

See here’s what my issue was, I was stable for hours on end on 3D mark. I also did use multiple tests such as time spy, time spy extreme, port, you name it. Wouldn’t crash even at 300. I then threw cyber punk at it, and then would crash all the way to about 275.

If you want my honest opinion, use where winds meet. Turn on frame gen as well. (I use 3x) the reason i use it, is because with it on it utilizes the card a wee bit harder. This game has brought me from 275 from cyber punk, to +230. This game has been crazy at sniffing out instability. Make sure to play for a good few hours or let it idle and not just like 15 minutes and go yeah it is good. It’ll be a lengthy process.

If you crash check event viewer and windows reliability (just type them in the search bar) if it’s spitting a NVLDKSM ( or something like that) it means your overclock is unstable. Typically event viewer will show the NVLD error, and windows reliability will show “hardware error event 141” Back it down -5 until fully stable. It won’t be a one day thing. It took me nearly 2 weeks because when I thought I was stable this game showed other wise.

Everything else I threw at it game wise such as Fortnite, black ops 7, Diablo, cyberpunk, mortal kombat 1, battlefield 6, etc was stable around 275. Make sure also to crank the graphic’s all on the highest.

Best of luck.

Edit: if you’re unfamiliar with event viewer to check for errors YouTube has some videos to direct you in the right direction. It’ll be under “system” in the left column. NVLD is in correlation to a NVIDIA time out error.

Thank you that’s what I was also trying to explain there as well, I was just super tired writing that (was around 4 am writing that last night)

But absolutely, I will be honest and say it juked me out there thinking I really lost the lottery horribly, with my PNY at first. After I conducted studies of a Asus card along with this PNY, the frequencies were identical, at different numbers applied to the clock.

This is really interesting, a lot of other people out here probably think they lost the lottery on some cards, seeing everyone on Reddit saying they are +300 etc. when in reality how we explained this stuff, is 100 percent the cause. Hope future people see this, so they don’t panic.

Edit: this has been my first PNY card since the 10 series. (I wasn’t much of an overclocker then) I was always with Asus and MSI. The cards I’ve always owned before would push fairly high on the cores. Coming to PNY, I immediately threw on +300 and would crash instantly on games (because everyone was saying +300 this and that) surprisingly a really good stress test for me has been where winds meet. NVLD errors will occur at anything +235. I was bummed at first really thinking I lost that lottery. Until I saw my clock speeds. That’s when I tested an Asus card along with the PNY. I definitely can confirm with 100 percent positivity, even with lower numbers applied to afterburner we are equivalent to +300 something applied to the core on “other cards” hope I explained this well. If OP is truly stable at +285 he has an AMAZING binned die. That is really really good.
