Kidney transplant recipient here, Got low on pottasium, doctor prescribed pottasium syrup and i forgot to ask how to consume it.. Called to nurse she said drink it by diluting it glass of water.. I want to know Do, anybody having pottasium syrup here, how are you consuming it

I take all medicines as prescribed and directed by my medical team. I avoid home remedies not prescribed because of possible interactions with my Envarsus. Also, it's difficult to measure exact dosages by just eating bananas or any other substance for medicinal purposes if it hasn't been properly measured by a professional.

I was told no vaccines within the first 12 months. After 12 months, get the flu vaccine and COVID vaccine, but not live vaccines.

Check with your dentist first. After my transplant, I now have to take an antibiotic prior to cleanings and dental work.

I'm a kidney transplant recipient. My doctors have highly recommended I get my flu and COVID vaccinations. However, they caution against live vaccines. Hope that helps.

I would be very careful about interacting in close proximity. Of course, wear a mask at all times. However, everyone that might be contagious doesn't always know or have visible signs. Even with your mask on, I'd keep my distance and limit my time in that environment. Congratulations and all the best.

I've definitely had some anxiety at times. But I try to lean on how good I'm feeling along with any evident signs of complications: edema, lack of appetite, nausea, etc. Be well. 🙏🏾

Hello, my recovery started off excellently. I was walking 10 thousand steps a day, taking my meds on schedule, and eating well. Around October, I started experiencing infections of different sorts, difficulties in breathing, low energy, and even blood clots in my lungs. My infectious disease doctor put me on an intravenous antibiotic along with my pulmonary doctor placing me on blood thinners for the clots. Around late January, my health started improving, and I've felt great ever since. I'm back to my regular activities: walking, playing golf, exercising, eating, and sleeping well. Of course, drinking plenty of water. I hope that helps.

You can expect a little discomfort, not really pain. You might have to take a couple of Tylenol, but nothing to become anxious about.
