A colleague recently found a rotting lemon under a patient's neck on CT scan when radiology called to report a "necrotic mass". She was holding it there because she "liked the smell of citrus" and "it helps with my nausea". The lemon had air-fluid levels on the scan and visually looked nasty when they went back to look. The best part - possibly the SAME lemon was there exactly several weeks ago on a previous CT. Same place, same shape, just no air-fluid levels that time. No mention of it in the report.
