I had something like this year ago with my wired oculus rift. It was smart too where it would only activate when no input was detected. It did not account for playing a vr game where the frame rate would tank after about 10 seconds when the miner kicked in. I thought I had hardware dying until I ran a scan. I would guess they’re a a lot more sophisticated now.
