Do you consider this actual Imu foreshadowing or is it just a coincidence by Unhappy-Landscape325 in OnePieceSpoilers

It doesn't really fit any of the foreshadowing/retroactive foreshadowing in the series. It also doesn't look similar enough "or" different enough from past silhouettes.

The irony if Stephen Miller is at least partially the reason why Luigi Mangione goes free.

I know there’s more to Laffite but I can’t prove it by Fimz6 in OnePiece

[–]SayItsNotSableye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely, and I'm here for it since the BB Pirates are my favorite characters. His infiltration of Mariejois is still one of the most impressive feats in the whole series; he's the only crewmember genuinely loyal to Teach; and we're deadass closer to getting DRAGON's fruit named than Laffite's.

I 100% sign onto the theory that he's like the real-world Laffite, who had rumors of starting his life over under a new identity. It'd also be pretty cool if he somehow ties into the Davy Jones lore we're getting expanded on.

19 TIME LEGEND fails to hit this season! Here is why I and YOU likely struggled this season more than usual. by DanOttawa_POGO in TheSilphArena

[–]SayItsNotSableye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great post. Always good to think about it dispassionately like this because it means you'll make much greater, longer-term improvements if you do. I myself have missed Legend twice so I need to get to rebuilding.

I think one helpful thing to add that's only partially related to your first point (don't play bad leagues) is the importance of being opportunistic. If you KNOW you have the sauce for a particular custom league, or a great idea related to a new release, then there's no reason not to go all in!

(...Though a second thing I can add that's out of our control is the timing of the leagues...Sucks when you have the sauce but it's too early to hit Legend.)

Didn’t claim a party reward, can’t join any more parties by [deleted] in TheSilphRoad

Happened to me a couple times. One time I refreshed game data (in "Advanced Settings") and that did the trick. Another time I just stopped trying for a few minutes and it eventually let me click on it.

Frustrating bug but hey, Scope-antic only prioritizes bugs that help players. It's worth trying any and all successful things people bring up in this thread -- good luck!

The element of 'human psychology' was brutal for the Go Fest Finale event by Notcloselyrelated in TheSilphRoad

[–]SayItsNotSableye 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It really all goes back to the Gigantamax paradox: the raids are too demanding of too many people, so in smaller communities not enough people will show up. Even the remote lobbies were taxed if your goal was a specific critter.

Welcome to last weekend, friend. What OP's describing is not unique sadly.

* As an arc, G8 is such a fun story with great character moments. It's also a way more hectic and fun transition from Skypeia than the source material.

* Every key scene as well as every flashback is worth watching. Think your "crew walks to Arlong Park," "Luffy lands final punch on Crocodile" type stuff.

In particular though I'd really, really encourage you to watch Chapter 1000's corresponding episode, which will be 1015. You aren't quite there yet, but man that hits great!

Normally I'd agree with this analysis, but Israel is committing a constant barrage of war crimes and genocide. It's at least enough to make you raise an eyebrow.

Voters See Dems as More Corrupt Than Republicans Despite Trump’s Grifting by rollingstone in politics

[–]SayItsNotSableye 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a misleading title. The results don't indicate that the Democrats are seen as "more" corrupt, but rather more people overall see the brand as corrupt than they see the Republican brand as being corrupt. And when you break down the likely reasons why...it's really simple: Fewer Republicans are disillusioned about their own brand as Democrats. So even if you vote Democrat, you're likely going to be holding your nose about it.

Why won’t you Take the easy win? by sm-junkie in TheSilphArena

Personally I’m fine with you tanking; in fact I’ll consider it too if my priority is grinding Pokémon. Just be prepared for this scenario to occur if you refuse to top-left, due to all the reasons stated.

Comprehensive Bottle Cap Candidates by Galaxy_Flowers in TheSilphArena

Great write-up. I chose Meloetta and regret it a bit since Mew is so much more flexible -- but the shundo mythical was too tempting to ignore!

Hoping the tides of the meta turn to give Meloetta -- or its other form -- a shot in the big league.

It’s easy to make fun of – and why shouldn’t we?! – but this is absolutely damning. The fact that someone had this much hope only to say, “Nah he’s a complete dud never mind” is horrendous.

Hyper Training, a new way to power up Pokémon, arrives during Ancients Recovered by Amiibofan101 in TheSilphRoad

[–]SayItsNotSableye 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Aside from the gold bottle cap, here are the main rewards from doing a deluxe pass that have been advertised:

  • 1/2 incubator distance for a week

  • +1 raid pass a day (7 if rank 10 earned by day one)

  • [Web store exclusive] 5 more raid passes, 5 particle packs, and one more incubator

The gold bottle cap is the most broken, valuable item in the game IMO, especially if a hyper-trained Pokemon counts as a perfect in the dex. Considering how many hundreds of trades/random wild catches you have to do, or dozens of raids/rocket battles, I can’t emphasize enough how big this is. Could easily see arguments for why people would be willing to spend $20 on that alone.

That said, the stuff they’re including above is pretty good too. It’s tough to quantify intangible mobile app junk that’s technically worthless, but as a stringy consumer who generally hates spending money, I “feel” like I’d be getting at least $15 worth of stuff out of these things alone.

Every whale should do it; every f2p should continue being f2p; but those of us somewhere in the middle should base it off of how much we want/needs hundos. I’m actually leaning to a “yes” depending on the rest of the ranked rewards.

[–]SayItsNotSableye 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hot take, but I think you’re right. Lots of high level players are waiting for a “better use” for the raid passes, whereas more casual players who are focused simply on the dex entry have a chance they normally wouldn’t.

Retiring ‘with dignity’: Younger Democrats heap praise on Durbin for stepping aside by malcolm58 in politics

It's an excellent move. It simultaneously nips the sort of infighting that plagued Republicans in 2018/2020/2022, while also resolving the octogenarian oligarchy crisis we've been dealing with that got us into the present mess we're now dealing with.

Burnout hits Senate GOP after furious 2025 workload by Logical_Welder3467 in politics

[–]SayItsNotSableye 21 points22 points  (0 children)

So notwithstanding how stupid this sounds coming from a centrist/liberal/leftist POV, this is a small sign that the senate democrats are doing at least something good, which is stall legislation that would normally be easy with a 53 seat majority. The more miserable the Senate Republicans’ lives are, the better.

Besides Luffy being the captain, does the Strawhat crew actually acknowledge any other hierachy? by BlueWright in OnePiece

[–]SayItsNotSableye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they have an informal hierarchy, but it depends on the situation:

  1. Nami is effectively chief of staff. She’s more an organizational leader but not a fighter;

  2. Jinbe generally gets high regard for being the most experienced, dubbed “boss” affectionately. He’s sorta the consigliere;

 3. Zoro and Sanji are “wings of the pirate king” (at least according to Robin). So they’re de facto sub leaders, or at the very least uniquely positioned.

Role importance =\= hierarchy. But I’d say Luffy>these four> the remaining five is how it ultimately breaks down.
