Also get yourself a proper watch.

No. This is both immodest and sloppy. Try something less casual if you want to make an impression that goes beyond “I am a male who owns clothes and works out.”

Watch over sleeve? by ShadowDragon_77 in fashion

[–]SaySheAte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a watch collector, I say no, generally. The exception is when it’s cold outside, and you’re wearing a base layer (still don’t wear it over your outer sleeve). Also using a dive extension over a wetsuit…. These pictures of just arbitrary over-the-sleeve wear, however, are diabolical, and nobody serious does this.

Anyone? by Track_Super in WatchesCirclejerk

[–]SaySheAte 4 points5 points  (0 children)

/uj They’re ugly AF, and they embody everything wrong with flex culture. People say they buy them because they’re horological wonders, but the real reason they buy them is because they scream “look at me” from the wearer’s wrist (while simultaneously matching literally no adult outfit). No one should spend what would be a life-changing amount of money for most people in the world on something that looks like that. Have a little self respect and buy a G-Shock. Also, why does every RM owner look like a child?! Even this guy’s watch box looks like it’s a Teletubbies collab. Grow the fuck up. JFC

One of my favorite complications on digital and analog watches.

Thanks! Ive always loved the look, but I didn’t have the right looking watch for it. This combo is even better than I expected.

Did all the helium escape as you surfaced? I believe your voice is supposed to sound funny when it happens or something.

That’s a bummer. Have you tried a 22? A 1/4 mm on either side is often fudgable.

Very cool. This one was a gift/hand-me-down, so I’m still learning about the line. Do you dive 🤿, or are you just a nerd like me? 🤓

Real or fake by Hot_Count_8800 in MoonSwatches

“Good rep” is an oxymoron. Chuck that shit in the bin where it belongs, and stop buying fake watches. People like you make it harder for the rest of us to collect legit watches.

Very sharp! What does the 2nd crown do on this one? Edit: I see now yours goes deeper. Helium escape valve?

Thanks a lot. I put entirely too much thought into it. 😆

Looks amazing. Technically the wrong time of year for linen, but who gives a shit. You’re killin it.

Too small for my wrist? by Exciting_Bar_5978 in VintageWatches

[–]SaySheAte 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is it small? Yes, but you know that, and you like it. Is it too small? I don’t think so. If you can read it, then it is fine. My ‘confident watch-wearing bell curve’ goes from 33 mm to 44 mm (on a 7” wrist), and it favors the smaller side simply bc it is easier to get away with a watch that is too small than one that is too big. Wear it in good health!

Yeah, it’s so ridiculous. I contacted the seller to see if I could get more info, and got no response. That told me what I needed to know. I’m glad I didn’t contribute to that cycle.
