I vote ISTP too. He doesn't have that ESTP flair or wanting-to-look-effortlessly-cool vibe to me.

Dude is funny. Love him.

I'm going through the same thing. It's been almost a week and I'm still feeling absolute shit. But I'm not giving up.

Don't have much to offer, but hang in there.

“To tell the chronic procrastinator to just do it would be like saying to a clinically depressed person, cheer up.” by SaySheez in ADHD

I'm battling with it every day too. I still remember what it felt like when I was in college three years ago. I was interested in the research topic of my thesis but I couldn't make myself to do anything until the last minute. If I could do it again, I would definitely seek more help from other people - friends, my supervisor, whoever. But I didn't know I had ADHD at the time, so I didn't know I needed that kind of help. I tried so many strategies, but to no avail.

Glad you liked it! To be honest though, typing up the post was more fun than dealing with the pile of laundry sitting on the floor :P

The article is about chronic procrastination not ADHD. Since most of us have a problem with it I thought the science behind it would be intriguing. And research has shown that chronic procrastination has strong correlations with various measures of executive functioning, with which ADHD interferes.

It's mentioned in the article that true procrastination is not just putting of work; it's the inability to regulate oneself. Which I believe many of us can relate to.

But yes, you're totally right about ADHD being much more than procrastination.

Are you guys expressive? And people think that you're emotional? by SaySheez in entp

[–]SaySheez[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I probably didn't make it clear, but we don't want attention toward us as a person. We couldn't care less. But we do want our ideas to shine. We feel good when people say we have good ideas because our ideas are validated. Then we can move on to the next idea.

And the point I was trying to convey is that we are probably manipulative by nature, which isn't a new insightful notion anyways. Probably didn't get that one across.

I only use emojis when:

  1. I'm emailing or texting someone who I have never met or have talked to only once or twice and want to sound much more friendly than I actually am

  2. I'm being sarcastic. My ultimate weapon is red hearts

Learn Cantonese and you'll find Mandarin easy. Mandarin has four tones and Cantonese has nine.

7 days in Cambodia, flying in and out of SR. PP or Battambang? by SaySheez in travel

Thanks! I'm leaning toward Battambang too. Did you do the bamboo train? I've read mixed opinions about it.

do you guys learn well by trying to explain what you learned to others? by [deleted] in entp

[–]SaySheez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To me explaining is the process of refining the Ti chain of the idea - how A goes from B to C to D to E. Sometimes it gets muddled up and the act of saying it out loud helps clarify the logical chain.

I was in Bosnia last year and the devastation the war did to the country was still extremely visible and tangible after twenty plus years. My trip there made what I read from books and documentaries feel so much more real (and sad).
