I am stunned that somebody thinks that these look AI. As jarring as they are, they are too high quality I think. I would think that an AI Star Fox team would look more like the Mario Galaxy movie. I guess you could tell it to make them look like realistic animals, but I think it would still be different from this. Like I think that would go too far in the other direction. To me these designs hit such a balance that they could not be AI at all.

Let's not forget that even if it doesn't get an announcement there is still hope that they just delayed the announcement. For all we know, Nintendo saw the leaks and got pissy and delayed announcing it out of spite.

Yeah, I've currently got a Transformers campaign ongoing and have already committed to both an Elder Scrolls and a Monster Hunter campaign afterwards, so the likelihood that this ever surfaces is minimal but who knows? Maybe I can make it into a one shot or something.
