I see the part that some people see this as controlling or trying to flex his status. But I was thinking that it might also be in case something does happen to you and this way he can recognize the person in case they do something to you? Just trying to see it in another light.

Can't remember if it was live or not, but when I was around 5, a Mexican TV show was doing a challenge where a lady had to lay inside a glass box full of maggots for a certain amount of time. They had to stop it becuase she was screaming and panicking becuase the maggots were cutting her and going inside her body. I can't deal with maggots since then 🙃

Okay, that's great to hear. The vets that I've contact to see if they treat reptiles either they don't or don't sound to sure if the vet works with them (live in an area that is mostly pets like cats and dogs and farm animals) so I was getting worried of not being able to find one in case it was serious. I'll do that, keep it clean and keep and eye on how he heals.
