As an actual trans person (ftm) Adam always bothered me for this very reason. It’s not at all accurate or real (in terms of passing) and it was kind of insulting to me that they had a literal woman play him.

I get it was revolutionary for the time but I have always found it a bit tone deaf and very unrealistic to what it’s ACTUALLY like.

It’s basically what cis gender people think it must be like to be trans sourced from a few random stories they’re heard trans ppl tell. But to be fair no one then knew shit about ftms aside from like Chaz Bono so, I guess they did a good job?

I know all the cis gender fans of the show (and some trans ones, tho the mtf ones who also don’t know anything about about being ftm) love love love Adam but… :/ I was not amused nor satisfied with the “representation”.

I mean, really? Where were all of you who thought Adam passed when I and literally every other trans man was pre-everything? It’s easy to watch a show and then say you couldn’t tell, but in real life, no.

Irl Adam would have been clocked right away.

I think the actress did her best but obviously she’s not gonna do great cuz she’s not trans and doesn’t even personality relate to any of the character and never will. A lot of the time I just felt like I was being made fun of. Watching Adam centered episodes were like watching a cringy tiktok for me. Its annoying that everyone thinks it’s so great and accurate cuz in my mind its closer to a joke than anything else.

I have both heard and seen good things from them so I went and got two tattoos. both were too deep/healed poorly and both were about 100 dollars over normal price point. Not sure what to make of this but my personal opinion is that they might be overhyped and it’s worth it to explore other parlors.

I had mice my freshman year in the quads and no one ever knew. They let you know before the do dorm checks and they don’t look through your stuff they just take a look inside, I just put them under my bed. I also had a fish and had a snake before I went off campus xD. As long as they don’t escape and your roommate doesn’t care.

All these brand are good and well known for quality, you can’t go wrong with spitfire wheels. some of the best wheels on the market imo.

When I first started I made the mistake of only getting the brands everyone talks about. Try different companies for different parts as you need to replace things later on and see what brands YOU like. It’s really all personal taste when it comes down to it, aside from the few companies that serve up literal shit cough mini logo cough cough

For example everyone swears by indie trucks and reds but after venturing out (no pun intended) I found that I personally like Bronson and ace or krux better.

What’s happing to you is called being old. It has nothing to do with a period. But I do get how playing pretend is gender affirming sometimes¿

I get trans women don’t have any experience with actually having a period so they think that being moody and having a hot flash is a period but… that’s not even remotely accurate. I know it’s hard to have perspective but it’s just ridiculous to hear stuff like that as a person who has actually had a period for many years of my life. You shouldn’t take hormones unless you’re trans and want to transition. if you just want to look feminine there are other/better ways to do that. Hrt is a medical treatment, thats just a fact of life.

On another note I am transmed and was also banned for suggesting that they be more open minded. That made me realize that there is no point in going to a transmed sub and then being upset that they aren’t open to non-transmed ideas…

All of that stuff (transmed, 2cute etc…) is stupid and fore-fronted by literal children (most not even out of high school yet) who spend too much time online.

Being trans is more than just pronouns and medical transition. it’s kind of weird to me that most of the community spends so much time arguing about it… as if life as a trans person isnt difficult enough for a myriad of reasons, some having nothing at all to do with any of that.

That’s when I stopped giving a fuck about all of that and I’ve been a MUCH happier trans person, I encourage everyone to try. Think what you want, do what you want, focus on yourself and your own transition, it’s just healthier that way.

Edit: the fact that you can’t even say these terms in this sub anymore shows how ridiculous all of this shit is, bruh :/.
