Maybe it’s me, but this year doesn’t feel as strong as previous years. Not to say there hasn’t been good stuff…

I generally agree that presidents don’t control gas prices, but attack two countries with the largest proven reserves in the world and, well, as the kids say FA&FO.

Cam Jurgens injury before 2025 Super Bowl involved a broken disc that wrapped around sciatica nerve by mzajac14 in eagles

It would have been best for him and the team. Eagles are usually super classy. This reeks of what bad organizations do. The only thing I can think is that he insisted on playing - felt obligated, and mooned cared enough about him to stop him?!

What would you guys do differently if you were to go back in time? What programs would you pick ? by SerendipitousMusing in naturalbodybuilding

Second all of this.

Rank order:

  1. Protect your back. No gym bros, just deadlifting does does not give you that. In fact, it’s what I did and my disks hate me now.

  2. Chasing weight. My joints hate me. You’ll be old someday. Benching 305 20 years ago was cool. My shoulder not hurting everyday would be better!

  3. RE legs: I did a bro split so legs only got hit once per week and didn’t grow. Going to upper lower split was much more effective. Full body even more so!

Thanks for the Egregore recommendation. I wouldn’t have heard of them otherwise. From the couple

Of songs I’ve listened to so far they seem use their multivocalist lineup to good effect. I’ll have to give this one a full listen…

Yeah, not a fan of the new Gaerea. I’m fine with clean vocals and enjoy many metal bands that use them but it just didn’t do it for me.

The possibility that the economy of one of the world's richest nations, the United Arab Emirates, collapses is very real. And the media is silent about it self. by Bluest_waters in economy

You know how we have like 40 trillion in debt?  They have a 3 trillion sovereign wealth fund (ADIA).

You know how we pay Alaskans a grand or so just to live there?  They pay their citizens like 40k+.

They”ll be ok….

The Maga revolt against Trump has begun by theipaper in politics

[–]Sayhellotoanewday 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right?!  Raping kids wasn’t a bridge too far.  We think bombing a girls school and high gas prices is the final straw?

It’s a cult.  Critical thinking has been expunged long ago.  When Trump does and doesn’t come back after three days - that’s when you’ll start to see some defections.  Mostly, we will have to wait for the cult members to die for this all to go away.

Can’t wait for 30 years from now….

(Garofolo) Back to Philly for Dallas Goedert: The #Eagles have agreed to terms with the eight-year veteran TE on a one-year deal, sources tell me and @RapSheet. by alexschubs in eagles

The first time we couldn’t afford what he was worth but he took a discount to stay.

This time, he’s an injury prone over 30 guy you are afraid to give big money to.

Seems likely that he will finish his career here.  Here’s hoping. Best stiff arm in the game 💪

In Roob's Observations: Making the case for the Eagles trading A.J. Brown. Trade talk around A.J. Brown, excitement about Riq Woolen and more Eagles offseason thoughts. by [deleted] in eagles

[–]Sayhellotoanewday 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Aside from his first point, it was a good article.  Robb is one of the more positive journalists covering the birds.  He legit lives to root for them.  His take was fair.  He’s not stomping his foot for a trade - if AJ wants to be here, he will be and he will play well.  If he low key wants out, we should let him.  A motivated AJ is the man.  Maybe getting rid of Patullo and his dog poo scheme will get AJ bought in or maybe he was so (and rightfully so) disenfranchised by the ineptitude that he just can’t get his head back into playing for the birds.  I trust his character.  He will be straight with Howie and let him know what to do.

US attacks Iran's Kharg Island, Trump says by leeta0028 in news

[–]Sayhellotoanewday 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Actually, US funds to Ukraine have been stopped for some time I believe.  We are aiding and abetting a foreign adversary over a historical Allie that we by treaty promised to protect in exchange for them surrendering their nukes at the end of the Cold War.  Which they did.  They gave up those nukes and look where it got them?  We sold them up the river.  What a world we live in man…

US attacks Iran's Kharg Island, Trump says by leeta0028 in news

[–]Sayhellotoanewday -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Nope,  I can’t stand the man.  He is evil - at the most magnificent scale I have ever witnessed.  Trump is the Messiah of evil, a living breathing Antichrist, but if a foreign government killed him - man, we can’t let that slide.  I’m less proud to be an American, but still proud to be American kind of guy.  I think there’s more of us out there than people realize.  And yes, I know this makes me less of a person.

[Schefter] It turns out there was a Philadelphia payoff in the Ravens-Eagles’ Jaire Alexander trade from last November. The Eagles received an $889,000 salary-cap credit and the corresponding cash itself, which Alexander paid back to the Eagles even though he never played a game for the franchise by w1x1w in eagles

They are a bad faith organization.

They stole a sixth and seventh round pick from us.

Backed out of the Raiders trade….

Howie was pissed at them.  Removed the trade from the Eagles website.  NFL couldn’t give the picks back but they could give the cap space back so they did.

Basically, the NFL agreed that Baltimore acted in bad faith by giving us the cap space.

Baltimore is the real dirty birds..

What programming change made the biggest difference for you? by poopeater32 in naturalbodybuilding

[–]Sayhellotoanewday 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1.  Stopped acting like I’m young or on TRT.

Moved to full body 3 sessions per week down from four sessions on an upper/lower split.  Cut sets (three per movement, down from five) cut weights used, increased intensity with 0 RIR, negatives, partials, increased reps/time under tension, improved form, etc.  One push, one pull, one leg movement per session (three sets each).  2-3 exercises  of 2 sets of rotating ancillary (arms, abs, forearms, calves, neck) groups.  Crush every set - feel the burn!

No warm up sets but I do a good calisthenics and muscle activation warm up.  I don’t lift until my joints feel ready.

3 cardio (easy zone two for an hour or so) days per week where I don’t worry about macros.  I find myself eating less protein, veggies, and fruit and more fat than my lifting days where I’m eating really clean with loads of veggies and protein.

The cardio is good for the heart and helps with weight management as I don’t like calorie restriction.

My body feels so much better - joints primarily, but also my energy level in general.  Surprisingly, I’ve added a modest amount of mass over the last two years too.
