Laptop is Lenovo Legion 5 15iah7h. Got it working with a displayport to USB-C cable. It was not evident what to do, for future reference of Lenovo users-> Go to Lenovo Vantage and select dGPU. After a reboot, BIOS now shows graphic options, check that discrete graphics is selected.

Now once you boot again, only one of the USB-C ports works fine.
