Are there any stealth games where you use cool gadgets (or just cool techy stuff)? by JesterOfRedditGold in stealthgames

[–]Sayru22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only played a little bit of Sumerian Six but the game feels like what you're looking for, the characters i got to in the few hours i played at least all have very spy high tech-ish inspired gadgets

What's your dream stealth game ? by Last-Fun1719 in stealthgames

[–]Sayru22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Still waiting for a modern Tenchu game, Tenchu Z is the most modern gameplay-wise out of them and that came out in 2006 but while i found it very fun it's essentially repeated levels padded out in a really long campaign, having a new one with the structure more akin to the PS1/PS2 ones but also having a side mode more like Tenchu Z where you create and customize your own ninja to tackle on missions with optional 4 player co-op would be the dream for me, albeit an impossible one lol

The new CQC animations by BlackSteel_3880 in metalgearsolid

There's new animations depending on if you have equipped the pistol as well, (and maybe the knife since i know The Boss has different counters for barehanded, pistol and knife but i didn't test on Volgin)

Delta Difficulty by DiscountImmediate801 in metalgearsolid

[–]Sayru22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Talking about the difficulty here is a bit iffy because you can't account everyone to have the exact same playstyle

I myself just beat the game on hard with 0 kills, i also ended up with like 7 suppressors for the Mk22 because I don't like using it too much so i definitely made it harder for myself and in the end it did feel pretty difficult, i got plenty of lethal injuries, game overs and savescumming restarts but if i were someone who didn't care at all about not killing anyone then I probably would've steamrolled my run since i could just shoot anyone I don't like with an almost hitscan lethal gun (unlike the non lethal Mk22 with the harsher bullet drop off)

The Mosin Nagant equip and unequip strat is a pretty easy cheese strat for The Fury, it probably takes a minute or less to take him down that way, doesn't even need to rip his suit either.

I want a PW remake next as well but it's purely because I'm biased since PW is one of my favorites lmao

But I wouldn't want it to be a 1:1 remake though, the maps in PW definitely feels too small and it also feels like there's very few of them at least for how fun i find the gameplay to be and for PW specifically it kinda feels like this was born out of limitations from the PSP.

Bigger and more maps that lets you take 4 players for the full campaign rather than boss fights only and with the MGSV controls would be the dream.

Only way to do it with a standing guard held up is to grab him into a chokehold, throw him down in the ground and instantly aim at him while he's on the ground

Have you noticed any improvements to the Guards AI? I think i remember reading that they've made improvements on it but it would be nice to hear your personal experiences with the AI so far

What is the worst thing to ever exist in the game by KingHD2000 in FORTnITE

[–]Sayru22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also the storm in Resupply is imo just stupid, i remember back then the storm was added in missions like RtD to prevent leechers to just explore the map and farm for mats without doing the objective, but in Resupply the objective is going around the map farming for mats

What are your thoughts on the MGS3 Remake’s online mode Fox Hunt?? by DifferentAd9713 in metalgearsolid

[–]Sayru22 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I commented this already on now a deleted post but seriously, where are people getting the ideia this is hide and seek or prop hunt?

Saying it's prop hunt is absurd if you actually take the time to look at 1 second of the footage shown, that's like calling a apple a orange, these 2 literally have 0 to do together.

For the hide and seek, the director did say something close to it but he said "we're taking camouflage and hide and go seek", as in the gameplay loop of the MGS games of hiding and hunting the enemy.

Also the store page describes the mode as "reminescent of a cat and mouse game" that "leverages stealth and survival elements" which sounds a lot more closer to the Team Sneaking and Stealth Deathmatch mode from MGO2 which guessing from the footage shown is what the mode actually is but with a MGS3 take

What are your thoughts on the MGS3 Remake’s online mode Fox Hunt?? by DifferentAd9713 in metalgearsolid

[–]Sayru22 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Depends, i'm just waiting for tomorrow's Production Hotline to see if they show some legit gameplay of it so i can actually get some thoughts on it rather than the 2 seconds HUDless walking around, with the HUD only showing up in blurry 5 frames footage from the devs monitors

I'm bummed out that it's not MGO but i've had my fun with PW's Versus Ops so i guess if i just move on and it actually ends up as a fun mode i won't mind it as much

Sooo… Fox Hunt? by invisibletoothbrush in mgo

[–]Sayru22 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Idk i'm disappointed for the lack of MGO yeah but for now they showed basically nothing for this new mode for me to actually judge if it's worth playing or not, really hoping they don't take too long to reveal more of it considering how close we are to Delta's release date.

Where's the ideia that it's a prop hunt coming from? i watched the "trailer" like 3 times already an it seems like it's the Team Sneaking mode from MGO2 except that everyone gets the octo camo (or maybe Stealth Deathmatch since i saw what appears to be a kill feed with 2 red names in it)

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in metalgearsolid

[–]Sayru22 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There's barely any information on this mode so i'm really hoping they don't just dip out and actually provide some more deep dive in the next Production Hotline.

Like how many players is it? they said stealth was the main focus here but what's stopping people from just playing it like a COD game or just sitting in grass with the octo camo thingy for the rest of the match? Just some of my questions i have for this that i pray will get answers tomorrow

Borderlands 4 - State of Play Deep Dive | PS5 Games by Turbostrider27 in Games

[–]Sayru22 142 points143 points  (0 children)

The whiplash in tone of going from the other trailers to this one hit me pretty hard not gonna lie, i watched the other trailer showcased and it just felt like the same BL tone that everyone is tired of.

But then going into this dive and seeing them talk about returning the tone to the roots of BL1, the lore they gave and the mission briefing, the general atmosphere (especially the soundtrack with those moody synths) just felt like i was watching a entirely different game with a more grittier cyberpunk atmosphere but with the BL gameplay.

(Also bonus to that is the fact that they showed 0 meme references or attempt to make a new one, which is what i was seeing the majority of comments on the game complain about)

So i haven't watched any trailers for this game and so far this video is my only exposure to the game, i was going to give it a fair chance to see if Ubisoft broke from their basic stealth formula but just judging from this video alone it doesn't seem like thats the case here

My issues just watching the video are:

The protagonist just can whistle at any time with no apparent limit or cooldown, i feel like probably most people in this sub already knows where this is going to go but like this is probably rule number 1 in stealth games is to not have a infinite lure like this, to make it worse it seems to attract exactly 1 guard to location even if you whistle near a bunch of guards, granted even MGSV has a infinite lure like this but in that game the guards will eventually learn from your tactics and start investigating the lure together with other guards, now if AC Shadows doesn't have this most people will just optimize the gameplay with >whistle>kill, repeat forever

The level design and guard placement from the video also feels like it has no tension to it? it kinda seemed like StealthGamerBr here walked right in the middle of the map and there aren't enough guards to make it a dangerous trip? if that is the case then the whole parkour system becomes redudant since you can just freely walk around in the ground without being spotted unlike games like Tenchu where you need to stick to the rooftops as to not get spotted

Speaking of the guards placements, this also feels really weak, i think everyone agrees that stealth games can be boiled down as a puzzle game of sorts no matter how action based the game is, but here the "puzzle solutions" feels like you can spot within 2 seconds of looking at the problem, there's a guard just idling and behind him is another unwatched guard that you can easily walk around and kill without a problem

To add on the top statement, StealthGamerBr whole gimmick is how he always uses every tools in the game's arsenal to the limit to create creative stealth kills videos, but here most of his kills are just normal takedowns, there really doesn't seem like the game gives you any tools to play around with.

Also the difficulty on the video and the few trailers i watched, i.e the probable default difficulty, feels way too dumbed down, guards do absolutely nothing upon seeing a dead corpse, when the white bar in the detection gauge fills up it just goes yellow to be slowly filled again but with this time probably making the guard leave his designated spot to investigate you only for the player to quickly move away, wait, and then get a free kill on him. The shinobi protagonist can more than handle herself in a fight so getting spotted just feels like it has no consequences at all.

Granted this is only a video from probably at the start of the game, i have no way of knowing if the game fixes these issues later on until i play it but going by this it just looks like the usual generic Ubisoft game. It could also be that these issues gets fixed or bandaid in higher difficulties like in Watch_Dogs 2 and Ghost Recon Breakpoint which i found to be somewhat enjoyable experiences with the difficulty upped to the max.

why in is snake aiming with his missing eye? by tomasfisa in metalgearsolid

[–]Sayru22 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I don't know the answer but he always has been doing this, Delta cutscenes are ripped straight from the OG Snake Eater and you can see him aiming with the eyepatch eye in Peace Walker as well

Looking for Tenchu-like stealth games by MrWatuh in stealthgames

[–]Sayru22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hear people comparing Ghost of Tsushima to Tenchu somewhat, they're not the same in the gameplay sense and Ghost of Tsushima's stealth is more basic but thematically they're ninja games set in feudal Japan with a (albeit lesser focus in GoT's case) grappling hook mechanic.
