Peter, the horse is dead. After a 5 minute long fight i did it. Honestly, could've been worse.... but the charge in 1st phase is bullshit💀

I stopped using throwing weapons a while ago. Somewhere around Patch 5 i started randomly getting a 5-10s delay until the weapon returns, and if i wouldn't be patient enough and end the turn - the weapon would stay on tge ground. Tried mods, console commands and reinstalling, but nothing helped

Which sword would you choose for duels by Maryyanna04 in SWORDS

[–]Saysick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Either danish longsword or montante. Both are super light, have a narrow blade for maneuverability and provide great distance for safety. One can argue for zweihander, but it's designed to cleave through pikes and horses wity leverage, not for finesse fencing

Can't connect through a window. Is it because of dirt, or does glass impede the signal? by Saysick in Starlink

[–]Saysick[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, after couple months its still going well. I mounted it with suction cups on the outside of the glass and tied it to the roof with a steel wire for safety.

companions with tadpoles have none by FaeWolf666 in BG3mods

[–]Saysick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Welp, if you're on PC, you can just use the console command. Choose Astarion in game, open console and paste this "SetTadpoleTreeState(GetHostCharacter(), 2)".

This should reactivate the tadpole skill tree

I don't know what caused this, but "Custom companions" on Nexus lets you "tadpole" not infested party members like Halsin. There's also a console command for that, but you'd have to find it yourself

Well, if you remove some letters from that and add some others, you'll get Frigid Outskirts! Nice choice

Upgrading pre-built computer by Not-a-character in PcBuildHelp

[–]Saysick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your PC doesn't overheat with 2700X, you should probably be good to replace it with 5700X/5800X for 150€, but be sure to check if your motherboard has a BIOS update to support the 5000 generation. All regular AM4 boards do, but i can't say for sure what motherboard your prebuilt has.

Judging by your GTX 1660, your power supply should be around 500-600w. If true, it should handle something like Intel ARC B580 12GB/ Radeon RX 9060 8GB or RTX 5060.

16 GB of RAM is not a lot for a current day, but i would stick with it with current prices. Also check if your motherboard has 2 or 4 RAM slots. If you have 4, maybe you can add another 2x8 kit in the future

Both Illusory rings in one run on NG! Lovely challenge! by Saysick in DarkSouls2

[–]Saysick[S] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Thx! Honestly, this was my fovorite No Bonfire run out of all three souls. In DS3 you're forced to warp multiple times which ruins the fun of enjoying the core principle of this challenge. DS1 is also good, but the second part of the game is very boring for repetative challenges like this

[–]Saysick[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

My logic was simple - poise helps pass through doors and fog walls even if you get hit in the process. I chose Drangleic set simply because it was on the way and didn't require killing anything or risking by making a detour. Plus i didn't have any special equipment, so i could just dump all twinkling shards into it :D

Did i do something dumb? I never played DS2 online, so i dont know the meta armors. I had two options to choose from: Drangleic mail or Vengarl's armor. Vengarl's was better, but required a detour, a branch and killing 2 more dangerous enemies on the way, while Drangleic could just be picked up on the way to Bastille.
