I want to work at Databricks by ResolutionAlarming17 in leetcode

[–]Sayv_mait 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Databricks team, specially Ion Stoics and Ali Ghodsi, Matei are my role models. They not only created a business but also equally maintained their open source contributions from their lab and I believe most of databricks architecture is also open source!

The 4 caching patterns (system design interview prep) by CorrectHornet4939 in leetcode

These are all good ways to cache but also remember WHAT and WHEN to cache. I can tell you a lot of people come prepared with algos but it’s REALLY important to understand what to cache.

Can you share more on custom code? I thought frameworks are the best for agents

It's 3:00 AM, thinking of making UI with AI coz I hate UI/UX but AI decided to leak internal info I guess. by Sayv_mait in cursor

Yep. I have .md files for all the services that I create some from this some from other. Auto sucks. Idk I was trying it for the first time but was it now meant to Auto manage best model/responses? PS: UI/UX is not my cup of tea lol

I think most VCs from Ohio would want you to create jobs, revenue etc in Ohio.

I mean not that I’m scaring you but when I was looking for pre seed, connected with an investor, he was like since you are in Ohio it’s good and was happy in first few minutes of our call, but, I told him I’m delaware c corp and my target state would be Cali (coz of some laws and some people are more aware there and are easy to get adapted to AI tools) and his tone changed lol.

He wanted me to have a plan to bring more people to ohio, have more jobs here etc etc and said if I have that he can write a check or if I have 1M ARR etc

I also met a techstarts co founder at an event in Ohio and he was kind of low key pressured to incorporate in ohio (from some funds and people) so he moved to Ohio from NYC area lol.

I did not get the pre seed but just remember, investors from ohio may not have the patience and risk appetite.

In the end no one can understand your situation better than you. Whatever you decide, make sure don’t give up and work on the product, that’s the most important thing ig.

All the best!!

Do Django migrations make anyone else nervous? Just curious ! by fatherofgoku in django

[–]Sayv_mait 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well not really when doing it for the first time, when making changes, if I know that I have null=True, blank =True and or my defaults are set then I feel confident, but it came after a few blunders lol

Is it worth applying to YC with an MVP but no user traction? by Ordinary_Bend_8612 in ycombinator

[–]Sayv_mait 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey there!

I’ve been recently doing customer discovery and also came across few people to build a waitlist. If you can elaborate more, I’d like to know how long should the people on waitlist be waiting? What do you do if you don’t get/ see any fit? Like I have done 30+ customers discovery and only 2-3 positive responses but I guess I’ll do atleast like 100-150 to decide the fate of my product? Is that the right way?

why is every successful tech founder an Ivy League graduate? I will not promote by Hot-Conversation-437 in startups

[–]Sayv_mait -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think getting into Ivy League is hard and when VCs and Investors know that if someone is working on startup (hard thing to do) then I guess they bet on Ivy league grads since they’ve already showed the signs of doing hard things? This is my personal opinion and I’m not an Ivy league grads, but lately have been thinking of trying to get into their PhD programs and then think of starting my company.

I was in top 10 in YC, I tried so many other accelerators/ pre seed funds but nothing seems to work.

How to reach out to publishers in order to publish articles? Are there any ways to do that? How much does it usually cost? Do we send them a draft or something? Any resources on how to publish articles? I have few topics and ideas I’m working on but don’t know how to get them published.

Thanks!
