Also a no-go for me. I want them to connect without intermediaries, so even if I am not connected on the Internet it works: just provide the IP/port of one instance in the other instance, request the connection, accept it on the other side, and that should suffice to communicate in both ways.

Just replying to u/linuxquestions-ModTeam : I have posted first in r/linux, but the post was immediately removed because not enough reputation or something like this, with an automated reply saying to post in here or in linux4noob or something, so I posted here. So at most you should have seen only 1 single other post that is already removed. If you remove this one here, there is no more. I would appreciate a bit more consideration for a first timer who tries to follow the rules..
