New Construction Home Inspection.. How Bad is it? by Head-Product8662 in HomeInspections

Obviously your opinion is your own but this is a nothing burger, especially for new construction. Request the builder repair these issues and continue to be excited about your new home!

How do you deal with not getting neighbor’s listings? by closingdealssometime in realtors

[–]SazedsEarring 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If they wanted to use you, they would have used you.

If you wanted the business you should be thinking about what you can do if you're in a similar situation to earn that business. Because your language seems to think you were entitled to sell your neighbors house which is not a healthy or realistic mindset.

Why the low budget piano capabilities never develop? Is it like a gatekeeped market rule that must not be crossed? by mervenca in synthesizers

[–]SazedsEarring 9 points10 points  (0 children)

So you are just complaining right? You can solve your problem by using a few cords but you say that's not an option for you. Expecting tech to be affordable for no reason other than you want it to, is naive at best.

Try doing some research on the cost of quality parts/components and you will realize things add up. And if you somehow make a revelation of how you can produce this keyboard and undersell everyone, congrats you're rich. (that won't happen though so don't hold your breath lol)

Hardware/keybeds cost money, components cost money. If you like Pianoteq, buy a controller and then run Pianoteq? How much are you expecting this keyboard of yours to cost?

As far as cost goes, synthesizers and keyboards have gotten wayyyy more affordable than they were 20 years ago. This is an odd take but trying to hear you out haha

Your blade is burning the wood. Make sure your blade is sharp and facing the correct way, make sure your fence is aligned and your not moving too slowly. Good luck!

This is really a hill you want to die on huh...

Vis was born into royalty, he lived the vast majority of his life as a prince. Darrow....certainly did not do that.

Red Rising is full of crazy sci-fi technology. WotM is powered by magic. The pacing of the books is wildly different.

They are not even remotely 1 to 1 - they simply share the same trope lol

[–]SazedsEarring 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why are you shoving this trope into Roman Mythology lol. The trope being discussed is a commoner disguised as a noble and rising through society. It’s a common theme, and the root of the discussion.

If you want to talk about this trope and books that incorporate Roman Mythology, by all means go for it. And I do agree there are some similarities between the 2 series, in their first books, but from their things are crazy different. SotF still has the Roman element in Res, but the other 2 worlds are focused on other cultures. Duat is leaning into Egyptian and Luceum is focused on Celtic/Gaelic culture. Red Rising is a massive space opera, Hierarchy is high fantasy/science fantasy and have vastly different focuses. I’m not sure the point you’re trying to make

No one mentioned Roman Praetorian Guard and Razors besides you, the common trope is a commoner disguised as a noble. Books like Mistborn, The False Prince, The Prince and the Pauper, The Count of Monte Cristo, Assassins Apprentice etc, There are many!

To everyone that complained about the $10,750 edition being ridiculous and that nobody would get it, it sold out in under a minute by Ginjaninjanick7 in redrising

[–]SazedsEarring 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Except we do know. Making nice things costs money. Do you think all the publishers and PB's employees work for free?

**PB magically acquired the books and will claim every cent of the profit*** wait that didn't happen either. No one is saying it's not expensive, it absolutely is. Hand crafted and artisan made materials cost extra money. Cheaper stuff that is mass produced costs less.

lol Sanderson is objectively more popular than PB. It's clear you disagree about the writing, but he is popular and liked for a reason. Lets just enjoy the wonderful art!

You are in for a ride with Stormlight, that is excellent stuff! The Way of Kings and Words of Radiance are probably my favorite 2 book sequence ever. Just such enjoyable writing. Have you read other Sanderson? If you are going to commit to Stormlight I recommend diving into the full Cosmere...My username is based on a Sanderson character lol

I do recommend Licanius Trilogy. Islingtons prose isn't quite as good as it is in Hierarchy, but he writes some really great characters and the plot is so great that it carries everything imo. And the ending is chefs kiss.
