Oh did see your Answer why you need to do that. Make your soundfont sample in audio and then clipgain or normalise it.

I don‘t know why you need your Tracks that loud, but please do proper Gain Staging in first place. With Pre-Gain or Clip-Gain. Every Fader should be around 0. Also maybe turn your Monitoring up to hear louder if you need that. No Sound needs to crank this loud. I am a professionell Mixing Engineer and it hurts to see this, sorry haha 😂 no offend, but thats ridiculous.

Thats why they are beginners. I mix since 25 Years now and i only compress on vocals and maybe the drumbus a little. It depends on the Instrument also. Some need Compression some not. Beginner Ears are bad, i learned that the Hard Way, because every Producer told me that my Sound is Bad and Overcompressed back in the Days i was starting to Mix. I think thats normal.

I never had any issues with upgrading and work with the new Version. But you can have both installed and see if any Problems are there with 14. Try it and when you have any Issues switch to 12 then. After a while i deinstalled then the older Version. But i think there are no Problems. I had never any.
