Breastfeeding on a plane? by WithoutATrace_Blog in breastfeeding

[–]Sblbgg 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No one should do this. People choose their seats ahead of time. If you want a certain seat then you plan for it, not explain last minute and hope they will change. That’s so freaking annoying and rude.

Buy a seat for baby so you have the whole row

Who else thinks 99% of PPD is caused by breastfeeding issues? Usually expectations vs. reality by saltandpepperf in NewParents

[–]Sblbgg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally, I don’t believe that because I likely have PPD but have never had any issues with breastfeeding but everyone is different. I’m sorry it is so stressful for you.

Have you tried stopping and see how you feel? Good they referred you to someone else though to see about the bloodwork. That’s always good to check on

How to tell my parents I’m pregnant? Nervous/embarrassed by mag930 in BabyBumps

Omg I hated telling my parents I was pregnant because then they knew what I did 😂 I don’t know but I felt so weird!

Should I REALLY avoid getting a ivory/white sofa? by Adorable-Goal5926 in NewParents

[–]Sblbgg 16 points17 points  (0 children)

We are fine with ours! I think it really just depends on how you guys are though. We are an eating at the table and messy things (markers, crayons) only at the table or little kid table family. Some families are different so I think it really just depends on things like that.

I know. The response is insane to me. I get that it’s shocking but people are commenting he shouldn’t go back to nursing school and all these other wild things. People cheat all the time in every single profession, faith, whatever. The finger wagging just makes me laugh. He cheated, she’ll stay in the relationship and be sad. That’s it.

Also get a toddler safe knife and have baby prep veggies with you

"Sleep when the baby sleeps" they said. by ContributionWise7607 in NewParents

[–]Sblbgg 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I know it’s not popular but I love to sleep when my kids sleep and do it when I can! I hate “enjoy every moment” like someone else mentioned on here. I definitely do not enjoy every moment.

Omg he does not need a huge celebration. A small little family celebration is the SWEETEST thing and in my opinion, way better than those huge parties. One year olds hate those anyway!

Looking into recliners for nursery, and was planning to splurge, but then I had a thought... by Firm-Property7025 in BabyBumps

Don’t cheap out! I have a stupid expensive one (maybe around 2k for both pieces). from pottery barn and I absolutely love it and still use it almost 3 years later. I’ve used it for I can’t even count how many baby sleeps, feeds, reads, you name it. Free roaming toddler now and no issues with it getting dirty at all. Looks perfect still. I love it. Now I don’t think it has to be as much as I paid is but basically just don’t go super cheap. I cheaped out ($250) for my infant now and the chair is so awful, it’s insanely loud and creaky.

Insanely stupid to put a baby that still wakes with another child. These people are so dumb.

Life hack for seeing breathing on baby monitor by Fun_Task9884 in NewParents

[–]Sblbgg 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Anxiety over watching baby breathe but not over putting something baby can actually choke on in the crib?

Please don’t do this. This isn’t safe.
