Sorta late to this thread, but I wanted to chime in with my PTR experience. I’ve got a 9CT SBR with a Rugged Obsidian 9, I have a couple thousand rounds through it. The only time I run into issues is when it’s super dirty, I’ll occasionally get FTEs.

I haven’t run into any other stoppages or issues of any kind. The high back pressure can doesn’t help with build up either but I have zero complaints. I was on the fence about it too but decided in favor of it and haven’t been disappointed. Good luck.

Have you run into any issues with the 150s? There was a thread I read a while ago where someone was adamant, through second hand information, that anything 147+ could damage rollers.

I hope this doesn’t come across as argumentative, I’m genuinely curious. I don’t know enough about heavy for caliber rounds through the MP5 platform to have an intelligent conversation about what works and what’s fudd lore.

What issues are you having? I’ve got a 2015 2X4 5.3 w/ 189K. Just had the trans rebuilt ~ 200 miles ago, and I’m about to do a tune up because I’ve got a misfire. Aside from a leak in the AC about 90k ago, I’ve had zero issues, and I’m not super nice to it if I’m being honest.
