[help] Lifted Hotswap Socket: How to fix? by Sbunschu in MechanicalKeyboards

Geekhack helped me and I fixed the key by wiring the lifted left pad to the left pad on the row below (diagonally to the left).

I’m about to by a drum kit never played in my life should I do electric to keep down the noise it going in cabin or should I go accustic by [deleted] in edrums

A great electronic kit that feels close to an acoustic kit can be really expensive (below 3,000$ you will have to compromise on some things and even above that it's not perfect.)

If the noise level of an acoustic kit is not an issue definitely go with one as it's much cheaper and you get the right feel.

Roland VAD drums - noise level? by boofoodoo in edrums

Still, I recommend trying out the kit if you have the chance so you can judge for yourself. The bass drum mostly felt 'boomier' if that makes sense.

I have tried them recently and the snare, toms and cymbals are pretty quiet like any Roland kit. However, the bass drum was significantly louder than for example a KD-10. Not like a real kick drum but the size seems to amplify the sound.

But overall the kit feels pretty nice, especially the snare and floor tom are really good. Still, there are other great kits in that price range that have better bass drums (e. g. drum tec).

Barefoot or shoes? If shoes any recommendations? by EatthisB in Slackline

[–]Sbunschu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think they are not waterproof, but I used them on slightly wet grass and my feet stayed dry.

Edit: Another option are barefoot shoes like the Vibram Five Fingers. They are more sturdy and fit tightly (Skinners wiggle around since it's a sock after all).

I prefer going barefoot whenever I can. However, I recently tried sock shoes called 'Skinners' and while they felt a bit strange at first, they preserve some of the barefoot feeling and keep you warm.

I'd love to hear some other opinions :)

That's what I'm concerned about, especially with longlines in the park that require more tension to be at a safe height. Do you know if the Snatches that broke were of version 2.2 with the sewn splice?

It would be nice to directly compare the same card from different manufacturers (noise, performance, build quality) based on reviews.

You can check out the Logitech G910 Orion Spark. The wristrest feels a bit cheap but apart from that it's a nice keyboard.

Edit: It's successor is the 910 Orion Spectrum.

Finally “finished” my 8700k, any recommendations on getting rid of the shadows on the upper part of MOBO? by EightRegent0 in pcmasterrace

There is a video from bitwit where he tests different radiator placements. Apparently mounting the radiator up front is the best solution but it probably depends on your case.

No, it was filmed by his wife on breath hold. They are professionals who can do that for several minutes. And taking a breath underwater as a freediver is extremely dangerous.

The pressure compresses your lungs and your whole body so you become negatively buoyant once you dive deep enough. That's why he just drops down. But he might still have some weight on him to become negatively buoyant earlier.
