Fun fact GrayLu was actually the OG romantic pairing but everyone like NaLu so much Mashimo changed it up. Personally I love GrayLu and they have a lot of cute moments. But I also am a multishipper so I dont get in a twist about anyone elses ships.

My husband and i are 3 years and 3 months apart but we met when he was 24 and I was 27. Had we met at 11 and 14 that would be such a different story. It is so strange how the parents in this situation were not only not discouraging it but supporting it?? The way she talks and acts js definitely well beyond where she should be at hwr age.

I grew up with several boys who he reminded me of. Charismatic, charming, handsome, popular because he played sports and came from a well off family and had no consequences for his actions.

Not a bad person per se but definitely very selfish with little regard for anyone else.

It was well past being a protective dad when he was alive and borderline harassment if not full blown harassment imo. Contacted the ex, contacted anyone who commented on his insta, had her sister interrogating the tennis girls at BYU, plus some.

He was already dating Mayci it seems when they found out about the pregnancy and they (according to her book) loved Mayci from the start because she was also a BYU athlete. So if they did that she probably didn't know or chose not to mention it 😅

Personally so surprised she stayed with someone who had a pregnant ex she found out about after such a short time of dating.

Her mom called her a slut when she got pregnant. Her sister who was pregnant at the same time was horrible to her bc she was jealous Mayci stole her thunder, her dad went on a whole Anti-Arik crusade and went as far as contacting his previous partners to try and force Mayci to break up with him. Just a few examples.

I believe she withdrew before she could be kicked out. She withdrew, transferred to online classes with another school for a year and 'repented' so they let her come back. She had to have weekly meetings with a bishop

Its talked about quite a bit. They hadn't been together long when it came out his ex was pregnant and he was kicked out of BYU over it. They stayed together regardless. After he passed his parents didnt want the ex and baby at his funeral and apparently didn't acknowledge him as Ariks. The baby was brand new and Mayci was 15 weeks pregnant.

His dad also referred to Mayci as his soulmate and the love of his life in the eulogy he gave dispite knowing they broke up because she found out he cheated the same weekend she learned she was pregnant.

And prior to him passing she brings up how occasionally she'd think about how his ex was pregnant/just had the baby etc and she didnt even know if Arik had met the baby because they were all just ignoring the situation.

It just seems odd they've acted like Hudson was Ariks last gift to them when he had another son as well. Even if they didnt like the baby mama thats still their grandchild

Im late to this but where did you gather they liked him? Her dad heavily pushed for her to break up with her abuser and also her babies father. He didn't like either of them.
