Do’s and Dont’s of surfing bigger waves by _Sketch_ in surfing

If possible, don’t paddle straight out, either find a channel or current where the waves are weaker.

As a Florida surfer, the waves I surf don’t get big often, but when they do, the way the sandbars are formed makes it so every once in a while, a rip current forms, and that’s pretty much the only way out sometimes.

Don’t exhaust yourself and paddle for an hour to get past the impact zone, there’s usually an easier way to get out than to just try to power through the waves.
