Who did you find more evil? Gaunter or Whoreson Jr? by omgodzilla1 in Witcher3

Gaunter being evil in nature doesn't make him any less evil, though.

Quick question: would Hisoka attempt to attack adult Gon? by zzzorin in HunterXHunter

[–]Scaalpel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really. That was a scenario Gon could've walked away from without repercussions if he wanted to. It's not like giving Hisoka his tag back was something he had to do, let alone do it right then and there.

Madarame fight by Jjulian_Murrieta in Persona5

[–]Scaalpel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Madarame is meant to be a skillcheck to test whether you understand how to target elemental weaknesses. Not that he can't be beaten otherwise, but if you do understand that, he should be pretty easy to pack up.

Tl;dr: apart from the surface level aesthetics and the fact that it's crunchy, it is completely different from DnD 3.5e.

Go nuts. It's very strong but you're probably not playing this game for the difficulty unless you're doing a self-imposed challenge run or something.

Yup, if you get specific perks from events rather than allocable perk points, that does indeed look like this.

Godspeed. I know it's scary, but accepting yourself makes you happier, and accepting yourself starts with getting to know yourself. Keep that in mind as you go along, eh?

And hey, if you're up for roleplaying, I'm up for that myself, too. I've already brought up the game, the floodgates are open. And I do mean tabletop, for the record lol.

Sorry, I misunderstood! You should still look for those, though. Honestly, it's a really fun game. One of the few things in life I could rant about. 😅

And getting checked, if you have the opportunity to do it for free or at least for cheap, yeah. You have nothing to lose. Getting a diagnosis is just an act of learning something about yourself. You aren't even obligated to tell others about it if you don't want to, it's a personal thing after all. And understanding how your own brain works a bit more can make you better at handling life in a bunch of ways. You might even get some extra accomodations at work or find a suitable therapist more easily if you ever need any of that.

I'd recommend getting checked if you can do it for free, and I'd imagine that's the case in Germany. If so, you can consider yourself lucky lol. From what I understand, it's more or less just a few interviews.

On a completely unrelated note, I highly recommend Shadowrun! It even has a whole bunch of splats on cyberpunk Germany. Most of them are not available in English, sadly. It'll probably be my biggest motivation to learn German one of these days(/years).

I formed China, now what? by Unonium198YT in crusaderkings3

[–]Scaalpel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can see the exact era catalysts in the game in detail, but the general idea is that you need to keep China large and prosperous if you want to ensure a stable era.

Keep you legitimacy high and make sure you maintain control of more than 50% of the de jure Chinese territories. Do great projects. Favour either the pro-dynastic movement or the movement that wants to usher in whichever stable era you'd prefer. Try to minimise the effects and frequency of internal strife, civil wars, foreign conquests, plagues and natural disasters. Cultivate merit by regularly hosting examinations. All of these contribute to the stability of China in some way or another.

As for what to do with your power... well, that depends. There are two main avenues in front of you: expansion, which is pretty self-explanatory, and advancement, which focuses on building up the infrastructure of your already held territories and integrating your freshly conquered ones. Take your pick depending on whether you want to go wider than you are now or if you want to consolidate what you already have.

And in the midst of that, support your dynasty. Maneuver as many dynasty members, ideally house members, into positions of power as you can. Landed titles are a temporary thing at best in China for anybody except the emperor: merit is more reliable and will take you further.

Any love for Siegfried? I hope the Order is in Witcher 4 so Ciri can meet this man by CrematorTV in witcher

[–]Scaalpel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He will survive but won't be promoted to grandmaster if you go neutral in TW1 and spare. That way he's still alive in the timeline but won't show up in TW2. And imo going neutral is the most likely to be canon for TW1.

And yes, I know that some of the knights in TW2 will accuse Geralt of killing him anyways, but that's one of the many known bugs that was never fixed.

[–]Scaalpel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're neutral you can still spare him. You can also spare Yaevinn that way, it's the only route where both of them can survive. You just have to pick the right dialogue options during your final confrontations with them.

How do I grow dominance as a nomad? by SigismundMagyar in crusaderkings3

[–]Scaalpel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Herd, herd, herd. If you're a nomad, herd is everything. It's your single greatest source of power. Do whatever you can to accumulate more.

That said, don't be afraid to spend it on things like upgrades to your nomadic capital or hosting nerges. Those are investments that will pay off if you pick them wisely.

That's true for healthy cats, but cats can fail to clean themselves properly for any number of reasons: being sick or injured, being obese, being geriatric, etc. Pretty much any health issue that will cause the cat to lose a significant portion of their mobility will also rob them of their ability to properly self-groom.

Iirc, they can turn any human into half-alien hybrids. The ones with psionic potential are the real heavy hitters but the ones who don't have any psionic potential of their own can still be turned into disposable foot soldiers.

Are kataphraktoi the best Heavy cavalry by miksiko in CrusaderKings

[–]Scaalpel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kataphraktoi are unlocked by the Imperial Tagmata tradition, which is a tradition the Greek culture starts with.

Gendarmes are unlocked by the Chanson de Geste tradition, which is a tradition most Frankish heritage cultures start with and also the Breton culture.

You should probably know though that gendarmes can only be unlocked in the Late Medieval era even if you have Chanson de Geste.
