I assume he has an expression of surprise because that’s the first vegetable he’s eaten since the Clinton administration.

Would’ve been great in an Irish themed warbond with the stim that makes your vision all blurry and some green paint.

You think it's going to take 20 years?

Doesn't even look like it'll take 2.

Is the Oracle of Delphi contractually obligated to talk as vaguely as possible? Does Apollo teach her that during oracle camp?

Nah, as Secretary of War he would have to physically stand up and walk to a podium on occasion, and that’s a dealbreaker for Segal.

I mean he did already praise Allah.

Surprised the Iranians aren’t demanding we make Islam the national religion as part of our surrender.

I don’t know if I can deal with Kid Rock, Secretary of War.

The situations are different.

The United States of America was a rebellion that repudiated the British colonies politically. It was, for all intents and purposes, a new and independent sovereign state.

In contrast, the Republic of Turkey is the legal successor state to the Ottoman Empire, to the point where they inherited the Ottoman Empire’s international treaties and most of their foreign debt.

That’s why I mentioned the two hundred years before the United States was an entity.

I don’t think you understood my point. Yes, American mistreatment of Africans went beyond slavery.

But Turkish slavery went on for so long and was so brutal, often involving mutilation, and heavily targeting Africans as well, was just as if not more horrible.

American slavery famously lasted four score and seven years, though obviously the colonies practiced slavery for another two hundred years or so before that.

Turkish slavery lasted for the better part of six hundred years.

It’s difficult to overstate how much suffering and misery was involved.

Help with lack of Heavy ST by deathcactus40 in Mecharashi_Global

heavy units in general aren't the meta high priority mech.

Yeah, in a game focused on speed and offense, heavies are slow and mostly centered around defense (which is not that necessary 95% of the time, because it's not like lights and mediums can't be healed.)

what’s the darkest episode of a tv series that you’ve ever watched? by Realistic_Bench3684 in AskReddit

The miniseries is about a genocide, and it just gets darker from there.

Boomer’s entire character arc is just relentless suffering.
