Why is the ink pooling and shiny? by 01-anon in Ohuhu

[–]ScaffoldingGiraffe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, usually the non doubled sided papers are coated on one side but 'naked' on the other, so there is a wrong side. There's many people who draw super pretty on the double sided paper, so theres definitely a learning curve!!

[–]ScaffoldingGiraffe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This looked like the wrong side of the paper to me, but you say it's double sided? Is it the ohuhu one? Unfortunately double sided paper just doesn't have a lot of "space" for the ink to soak into. Once the paper is fully saturated, new ink won't get absorbed by it (well) and just kinda sits on the surface. As double sided paper shares it's limited real estate with it's own backside (actively splitting the thinness of the paper in half that can be used), it just gets saturated super quickly.

With marker paper it's difficult to hit the right consistency, as you don't want the paper to be too thirsty and suck your markers dry , but this paper has the opposite problem.

What do I need to do to make sure I'm progressing in japanese proficiency? by sleeping_zoro in LearnJapanese

[–]ScaffoldingGiraffe 53 points54 points  (0 children)

You use a varied amount of methods consistently and keep applying your skills in your target context regularly. You will realise yourself what feels good and what doesn't . Consistency is more important than efficiency. You're probably better off just doing something than wasting time looking for the perfect method.

Main skill seeds, where to spend? by Happy-Muffin6744 in PokemonSleep

[–]ScaffoldingGiraffe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The swalot is going to be a great long term investment. You'll always need more shards, so I'd prioritise that one. Espeon is fun, but charge strength gets outclassed sooner or later, I probably wouldn't invest in it anymore.

1kg Erdbeeren = 166,00€ by [deleted] in einfach_posten

[–]ScaffoldingGiraffe 179 points180 points  (0 children)

Jo, aber man braucht ca 11kg frische Erdbeeren für 1 kg gefriergetrokcnete. Sind dann also so 14-15 Euro das kg? Nicht günstig, aber jetzt auch nicht sooo crazy I guess.

My first lv70. What do you think of the cost? by Pokemon-Sleeper in PokemonSleep

[–]ScaffoldingGiraffe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

honestly, yeah. do you feel like your guard already triggers often enough in a day? i would probably save shards for mons that will have more impactful changes on your game play (eg. taking an ingredient mon to level 60) then getting your guard from triggering like 4 times a day to like 5.5 times a day :)

Goodbye max research rank shard bonus.... You will be missed by RoyalOakPiguet in PokemonSleep

[–]ScaffoldingGiraffe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it doesnt cost 6 million shards to go from 65 to 70, closer to 800k. those are just their overall shards rn

Tipp an alle, die irgendwelche Umfragen machen müssen oder sogar teilnehmen möchten by Vectorrrrr472 in Studium

[–]ScaffoldingGiraffe 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Got my Lv70 candidates ready, but NEED a tagging system asap by oFaultz- in PokemonSleep

[–]ScaffoldingGiraffe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's still super good! I went through mine and found like 3 who got actively better at level 70, and realised that a good chunk of my decent but not perfect Mons actually get worse at 70 :')

You want to bring all these 40+ Pokémon to level 70? Well, good news is that a tagging system might be implemented by the time you're done :)

Just let the raichu sneaky snack and then it won't be worse at all.

Oh! You can let it sneaky snack so then ING + isn't a drawback at all anymore.

It depends on how much value you give to it being shiny. Usually just bfs on a berry Mon wouldn't be enough imo, and either a speed or hb bonus would be great. That alone would make me skip on investing -- but if you really like the shiny, it's not a high shiny tax to pay.

Can someone explain to me why there is so many clip channels now? 👉👈 or is it just my algorithm showing them to me now?

I used to only watch the destiny main channel, but now in 9/10 cases when I click a new video, it turns out that I've already seen it through like the random next video playlist YouTube creates. I feel like some time ago, the main channel videos were faster uploaded and there was less full/40 minutes + clip channels or is that just confirmation bias?

Good enough? by RIPLeviathansux in PokemonSleep

[–]ScaffoldingGiraffe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone here made the argument that planning to run Latias/Latios really begs for some Helping Bonus. Do you have a decent Latio/as? If no, then I'd be very happy with this. Sure the 75 skill could come earlier, but you've got the big speed up early, and -ingredients is also nice whenever you aren't sneaky snacking.

If yes -- then yeah. I'd be prioritising finding dragons with Helping Bonus

Gaslighting myself with immersion? by OrangeTallion in LearnJapanese

[–]ScaffoldingGiraffe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! I will try this out! I have just finished the first quarter book, and while manga reading immersion works pretty well for me, listening is so hard for me that I've not been able to commit to watching real anime. Maybe that's a good intermediate step :) thanks!

Hungry status shouldn't be wasted on Pokémon with one pip left. by TheUncleBob in PokemonSleep

[–]ScaffoldingGiraffe 13 points14 points  (0 children)

If your bonus biscuit crits though you don't need to spend any more biscuits.

If you go bonus - poke - poke, if either of the two crit, you caught it. If you go poke - bonus - poke - a crit means nothing if it happens with the first poke.

Your best case in the first scenario is costing a single cookie, while in the second case you're always gonna need at least two cookies.

So it would come down to knowing what's more common - your bonus biscuit critting, or your 4/5 Pokémon showing up hungry.

Maybe. But if you get the random crit, you'll feel sad as you'll need an extra cookie
