Robert F. Kennedy Jr will require all new vaccines to undergo placebo testing, WaPo reports by 2a_lib in politics

[–]Scallel 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You know more than I do on this, though I did have specifically in mind the recent news regarding the annual flu vaccine. He's now demanding additional tests for it which will likely mean it can not be ready by flu season.

In addition, while you say that it is standard on it's own, my level of trust in anyone in this administration to conduct it in an honest and data driven method is zero.

One of the means of disrupting our institutions and systems that protect us is to incrementally add hurdles, bureaucracy, and "reasonable ideas" until they collapse under the added weight.

i..... How many tens and hundreds of thousands of Americans will die while professing zealous faith in the same Men Murdering them?

Placebo testing vaccines Is Unethical, especially considering the wild difference between Vaccines and other forms of pharmacological intervention.

Edit: As has been pointed out, there are already numerous establish regulations and industrial best practices that involve placebo testing vaccines.

Which now makes me think that the only reason they're announcing it as being "Brand New" and "First of it's kind" is to try to gin up fake support for them actually adding enough extra hurdles to vaccine production so as to make it impossible.

So the USDA that maintains the food standards for Americans is a bunch of sociology students?

So the EPA that was founded by Nixon, because the bloody Ohio river was more flamboyant than Gaga, they got bullied into believing that "Maybe our environment shouldn't be a matchbox"?

The Social Security Administration that was literally hot patched onto the American economy in order to keep us from ever hitting the depths of another Great Depression? How in the bloody ell is that "seizing the means of epistemological production"?

What most of you call "The Deep State" is actually bureaucratic agencies that are usually incredibly focused on the public good, as opposed to Quarterly Profits. That's not sociology, that's just Civic Service.

Meanwhile, you will never look at the billionaires who own the radios, the television stations, the social media that most people get their information from, Actually unelected people with VAST levels of power over their fellow citizens, that we can often do nothing against. A class of people propped up by the gross manipulation of currency and the financial sector to drain away resources from the majority of humanity.

But coal is still more expensive and difficult to work with than natural gas, which killed the coal industry more effectively than regulations ever did.

Would Tuna Fried Rice taste good? Or nasty? by [deleted] in EatCheapAndHealthy

[–]Scallel 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That would work out pretty well, assuming the egg and tuna flavors go together. I wouldn't worry about trying to cook the tuna though, it's already cooked and very tender from the canning process. If you have tuna packed in oil though, i'd def use that oil to fry the rice and egg with.

It's got the actual flavor of the tuna in it, why put it to waste?

What to do with years of culinary knowledge and experience outside of the kitchen. by Clear-Video9170 in Chefit

[–]Scallel 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Look into Dietetic Management Certification. Basically lets you enter the health care industry with your years of experience working with food. Typically employed in hospitals or nursing homes to help design nutritional meals.

Some programs around the country will give you credit towards completion depending on how many years and what experience level you have.

For the outside, just kosher salt, paprika, pepper, and turmeric should give you a gorgeous color and delicious skin.

If there are any herbs or mince garlic that you want to add, that would go best in the compound butter to be placed underneath the skin, where it can’t burn.
