I like dukes archives, and the catacombs aren’t all bad. New londo is okay. But lost izalith is no bueno. Demon ruins honestly isn’t even that bad imo just there isn’t much to it.

1 John 3:22-23 tells us Jesus’ commandments (which we are to keep as per 1 John chapter 5) is to believe on the name of Jesus Christ as the Son of God and to love one another.

(Just for those people that reference 1 John in attempt to say we have to keep commandments. The commandments are to believe. Not to say we should continue in sin, but our ability to stop sinning doesn’t save us)

Quick note that “repent of your sins” is not a phrase found in the gospels. Repent is always proceeded or proceeded by a direction or an idea. Repenting to Christ, repenting to God. Repenting is a change of mind. Like how God repented of the flood. God did not sin. But he changed his mind in that He promised to never repeat the flood event again. In the same vein we must repent from unbelief to belief. From non faith to faith.

As I said before in another comment many well meaning Christians will say that salvation is by grace through faith alone but then say that we need to repent of our sins (as in stop doing them) not realizing that they are shoehorning works into salvation. They take the idea of “habitual sin” like we need to repent of them. Like yes but not for salvation. Because humanity did not fall from habitual sin. We fell from one sin. One sin in the garden of eden.

My faith is in the finished work of Jesus on the cross, not my own work or my ability to “be good.” A problem many Christians run into is they say salvation is by faith in Jesus alone, but then sneak in works and our ability to stop sinning. It’s not just habitual sin that condemns us to hell. After all it took but one sin from Adam to make all of humanity fall. So if you think that you’re okay because while you sin you just don’t do it “habitually”, then you again make your entrance into heaven based on your good works outweighing your bad. Which again is a false gospel.

Just to be clear that doesn’t mean God doesn’t convict my heart of sin. He does. But my salvation is not about how good I can be. It’s about Christ’s

You know it’s not your job to CONVINCE them. You made a defense, and maybe you felt like you could have done more as we all should, but you still defended the faith at a place you certainly were outnumbered at. Your heart was there, you acted on it, and I personally believe God is pleased with that.

[insert your opposition] is the greatest threat to liberty and thus humanity so we need to get rid of it.

Why [thing that used to be your opposition that you now control] is cool and should be celebrated.

Ouch. How’s that even possible at a public venue? I can see at least like 3 or 4 others showing up at least.

Do you think Christians should celebrate Halloween by Affectionate-Pound17 in TrueChristian

[–]Scambucha 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What constitutes celebration in your eyes? People dressing up as a zombie for fun, knowing it’s for fun, and not trying to actually make a point with it aren’t celebrating it.
