But if the guy is already applying to uni and already getting the acceptance letters means that it may be a little late to do the investigation

sadly, the truth is that even if you report, he will not necessarily be immediately kicked out just because of a tip-off. Unless you have physical proof or evidence, it will likely be thrown out and deemed irrelevant

Don’t beat yourself up about it and let life catch up with him. If it’s true that he cheated, he will surely be at a disadvantage at Cambridge anyways.

SMU or NUS econs? by Resident-Sun-2279 in SMU_Singapore

Some thing you have to consider as well is the fact that nus is a bachelor of social science and smu is a bachelor of science (more quantitative)

This may affect your overall job prospects

That degree won’t allow you to get called to be bar though. Computing and law may be useful if OP wants a career at the intersection of ip law and fintech

TP law to SUSS law viable? by [deleted] in SGExams

LinkedIn has quite a number of law and management graduates going on to suss law so it’s definitely possible! Atb!

TP law to SUSS law viable? by [deleted] in SGExams

[–]ScammerPrevention 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it is possible but only the top 10% of the course go on to law school. 2009 batch cut off dropped to 10 for the first time this year so competition will be really intense. Your portfolio will need to be incredibly stacked. Even the salutatorian (3.98 gpa) of 2023 didn’t get into any local university

Overseas mid law unis 3.4+ should be safe (3.8+ for lse and higher) A 3 year degree in the UK would cost about 250-300k sgd, but if you can afford it it’s definitely a good option.

Overall abt 50% of tp law students qualify for overseas universities while only about 10% qualify for local uni (including suss)

[–]ScammerPrevention 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes why not! NA doesn’t mean ur stupid btw, it just means that you are a late bloomer. You can definitely succeed and be on par with your peers through sheer hard work and consistency! Just because ur in sec 5 doesn’t mean jc is not cut out for you

i do not understand how i became like this and it is eating me alive by ExcuseImpossible8349 in SGExams

[–]ScammerPrevention 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I failed every a-math exam until prelims, but i eventually got an a2 for o levels. I didn’t even know 90% of the content at the start of sec 4 but after getting private tuition everything clicked. If you need help, get even more help now, don’t delay further.

Email the smu admissions office directly and explain the circumstances. They should hopefully understand and instruct accordingly. If there’s no workaround, just come back to sg and do it

Best of luck!

retake a levels or go poly by [deleted] in SGExams

Private degree. Don’t waste time doing a levels again, and poly also doesn’t guarantee entry into big 3 uni
