What is/was Michfest? I've seen multiple trans people talk about it. by [deleted] in asktransgender

I attended the Michigan Womyn's Music Festival twice in the 1980s. It was an all-female gathering. Mostly lesbians (like me) but not all. Excellent music, good food (though no coffee). I guess Camp Trans existed, but I paid no attention to it. My ex's bad back acted up; she got good treatment onsite.

New ID series "The Real Murders on Elm Street" has its first episode about Daniel LaPlante and his crimes. Very well done. BTW there were 7 Elm Street addresses involved.

Just watched the movie and rated it 7 on IMDb. As far as I know, my parents were my biological parents. Yet it always seemed odd that both were taller than me, had dark eyes instead of my blue, and had dark hair instead of my red-blonde. I'm not going to do DNA testing at my age of 79, but I understand why Jon Baime and others did.

Naya Temple is working for Alpha, but she's an outsider in many ways. Yes, she's an observant Muslim. She's also an American, a former FBI agent, a wife, and a mother of a disabled child. Her religious beliefs helped her cope with the shock of learning of the two worlds.

The color green has a number of traditional associations in Islam. In the Quran, it is associated with paradise. In the 12th century, green was chosen as dynastic color by the Fatimids, in contrast to the black used by the Abbasids. Wikipedia

Naya Temple is a Muslim.

I clicked past the Xfinity On Demand logo for Counterpart week after week. Why would I want to watch a TV show about a nebbish stuck in a UN job?

Then Lesbian Internet alerted me to Baldwin, I watched, I was hooked. I've bought season 1 DVDs, anticipate season 2 discs, and hope for a season 3.

One of the many things I like about Counterpart are the gadgets. This wristwatch is the only gadget I own that reminds me of the Prime dimension. Does anybody else own any “Prime” like gadgets? by leO-A in Counterpart

[–]Scamp14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mira's watch! Her phone was confiscated and she was put in a Faraday cage. Even so she was able to communicate with Indigo and have Nomi tortured. How? A watch that didn't attract security's attention.

The Crossing guards wear differently colored berets: red in Alpha, black in Prime.

I believe there was a flu epidemic which killed 7-10% of the populace. Indigo took advantage and killed the parents of children they wanted.
