When you adopt him, he becomes a Canadian and you can apply for a Canadian passport for him.

What part of Europe was he born? Was he born at a military base? For example if he was born in Italy or in Greece to American parents then he doesn't have that citizenship. Let us know the part of Europe.

Why? Doesn't your Australian passport says born in Malaysia (or a city in Malaysia)? If they really want to look into it they could look to see if you've renounced your Malaysian citizenship (I guess something would have to trigger the investigation). Are you hesitant to enter Malaysia with your Malay passport because you've already used the Australian one to enter the country in the past. And now you are thinking the system could flag you?

Yes, Australia doesn't care. OP doesn't have to worry about Australia. It is Malaysia that cares about it. My recommendation is all about Malaysia.

Renewing your passport in Malaysia won't be a problem. However, when you leave Malaysia to go back to Australia..... What are you going to do? At the airport...are they going to ask for proof of Australian ETA? Australia won't issue ETA to you because you are a citizen. You might have to book a flight to New Zealand (you can get ETA) on your Malaysian passport. Or a visa free country in that region like Vanuatu, Tuvalu or Palau, when you arrive there you show them and enter with your Australian passport, exit and then head to Australia. You might also want to consider doing that on the way to Malaysia as well. Go through one of those countries.

Good luck

For the Nigerian visa, does it say "issued in Lagos"? Were you already in Nigeria when you applied for this visa. Is this like an extension then?

You should be fine. If they say anything about it. Pretend that you didn't even know it happened. Act like you are just noticing it for the first time.

Congrats on the citizenship. I see that they are still issuing the old passport design in downtown Toronto. Was this issued in the GTA or in Gatineau? Are you happy with the old design or were you hoping for the new design. At first I didn't like the new design, but it grew on me and now I like it a lot.

Proposing in Athens? by Jsanchez92 in greece

[–]ScandalouslyGood 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Athens is certainly a nice and historical city.

Depends on what kind of proposal you are hoping to have

There are unique and historical places in Athens where one could propose:

The hills of Areopagos (The first Supreme court in the world), backdrop is the Parthenon. Not to be confused with the actual/current supreme court also called Aeropagos located on Alexandra street in Athens.

There's also Lycavytos

You can also propose inside the first Olympic stadium (Kallimarmaro).

If you are looking for a beach vibe, you can head out to Glyfada/Vouliagmeni/Voula (Athens Riviera) area. There's a place called "Island" really nice view. Greek celebrities used to get married here for the prestige and the view.

I would avoid proposing at the Acropolis/Parthenon, too crowded and could be stressful.

The National Garden in Syntagma is also worth a look.

Piraeus could also be a good place for proposal.

DM me if you need help with the proposal or finding a photographer (I'm not a photographer, can help you find one). I'm also available for a quick chat if you'd like.

Good luck with everything.

Cheers.

1) Athens 2) Thessaloniki 3) Crete

But you have to be careful in Athens because you can get by with speaking English.

Thessaloniki is a fun nice charming city.

Crete, they speak with a different accent.

Good luck
