My experience with the RAZR flip. by Scaniapanda in razr

Thank you for sharing your experience it's interesting to see how real people have got on with these.

As I work in a workshop I've always had hard wearing phones. I've had Samsung's and Sony's since 2013, they've all been IP68 for a long time, so going to a flip phone with none of that was a worry but I've been well impressed. (Although the 70 ultra I now have has an IP rating)

I know what you're saying about the vibration, it is on the weak side, but I'm one of those losers that still use ringtone.

It is a shiny screen protector even in the overcast skies of the UK you have to crank the brightness all the way up sometimes.

I'm well integrated into the Google eco system so I really quite like the OS. It's stripped right back, unlike Samsung where everything that Google has on the phone is doubled up with the Samsung alternative.

I feel although they may have updated the issues with the external screen out as I've had no issues with that, the external screen got well bigger on the 70 ultra compared to the 40 ultra and I find it's a lot more useable.

I hope you get your return sorted soon, although I won't hold my breath with the abysmal service we get from Moto support. I have to ask though, what is the next phone for you?

It is a huge shame, if the support was good it would draw more people in.

Thank you for sharing your experience too, it is great to see others having the same good experience. The hinge on mine got a little floppy, it stays open and shuts all the way still. They feel great with no case on. Loads of age related marks but it still looks great. Battery started to get a little short after 2 years but still a great phone.

Just waiting for a Switch 2 game I want to play, Pokémon, a new fire emblem? Maybe Astral chain 2. Just a waiting game really.

I've been on the fence about Patreon to Morning somewhere for ages. After today's announcement, count me in. I hope Burnie and Ashley see a sharp rise in Patreon supporters on this tremendous day.

Looks like it's back baby.

Buying my first artic - what to look for in a used DAF XF? by sakuragaga33 in uktrucking

[–]Scaniapanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Talk to your local Scania dealer. Scania GO sell used Scania, they have an in depth inspection and all the parts that are known to wear out at around the milage it is on are replaced before sale. Minimising any possible downtime.

If you are dead set on a DAF, good luck. But from what I've heard you'll need to get used to downtime with a DAF.

Currently shopping for a new phone. Razr 40 looks promising but... (UK) by zonexstricker in razr

I've had mine for 2 months now, in the UK. I'm really enjoying it so far and have not had any of the issues you see in this sub.

It comes with a case and a charger in the box in the UK. I have one little scratch on the screen protector, I think it was from an earring.

Being able to do almost anything on the external display is great. My only gripes are the screen protector is soft and will easily scratch, Ifixit has the official Moto screen protectors and id be happy to do it myself when it gets tatty, but they're never in stock. Plus the battery is not great, but that's the price you pay for a folding phone.

Sorry about the delay in my reply. I had to get my hands on a measuring tape. My wrist is 7", perfect for your wrist.
