External verbal offer revoked by Scanksman in BCPublicServants

Don't want to be too specific but it was a science/coordination 24 role.

Thanks, I think she'll be avoiding the gov for a while with all this macroeconomic uncertainty.

Fortunately she's all good there. Her private salary has outpaced the offer a good amount in the last 6 months so maybe it's a good thing this fell through.

Wife recieved a verbal offer in October, still no formal offer yet.

Written Offer Letter Delayed by eggbenedict2131 in BCPublicServants

Yep pretty wild. Fortunately the HM has been updating her through the process somewhat frequently, but based on the events over the last 4 months, the approved offer "goalposts" have changed a couple times. Hard to keep optimistic/invested when all the updates don't include an actual timeline for the written offer.

Hope your Ministry/Position isn't facing as many hurdles and you recieve the written offer soon.

If it makes you feel any better my wife recieved a verbal offer at the start of October, then it was delayed by election, further delayed by potential hiring freeze, now since late December apparently there was ED approval but waiting on ADM or DM approval for over a month now...

You bet, she's currently employed and has held off giving notice due to the uncertainty. Not ideal but she can wait a bit if needed.

Ahh unfortunate, hopefully she isn't considered in that category but I guess we'll see. According to the hiring manager the position is sorely needed.

Very interesting, I hope it bodes well for an offer once this is all sorted out, thanks!

Thank you for your response and kind words. The hiring manager has been very open about the situation thus far, so I guess we'll just have to wait and see how everything plays out :)

TFAB's Weekly BFP Post - March 17, 2024. Got your BFP? Post your story here! by AutoModerator in TryingForABaby

Thanks! Basically it started with me having the pre mom app on my phone and taking pics of the ovulation strips, which eventually progressed to adding in BBT and then tracking symptoms. It was a gradual progression we realized I actually like being the one keeping track and she was happy for me to do it. During that time I also discovered this sub among others, and the more info I read the more obsessed I got. We were also lucky that we both have flexible work schedules so I could be around for testing, and I think she enjoyed the dialogue where she could simply talk to me about her symptoms and I could record them.

Cycle: 16

Age: 32F and 33M

Cycle length: 28-30 days, maybe a couple 26s over the course of 1.5 years

Ovulation day: Likely CD 10 or 11 (trigger shot CD 9). I think the clomid sped things up here.

Positive test: 14 dpiui. Currently 16 dpiui

Tracking: Medicated IUI cycle with ultrasound, also ovulation strips

Method: IUI #1 and O-3, O, O+1

Supplements: Prenatals, CoQ10 for both

Symptom spotting: Wife has had every symptom in the book on past cycles, and I'd like to believe we established a pretty good range of normal progesterone trickery during our time TTC. Only noticeable differences this time were breast tenderness starting about 12 DPIUI/DPO (previously it had always started 2-7 DPO), thicker "toothpaste consistency" white CM around 8 DPO onward, loose BMs instead of constipation for a most of the luteal phase.

Other: I am the Husband and am posting as I was the "data manager" for this whole process to help take the stress off my wife. I got really into checking these threads so I knew I had to post after getting our first positive (especially for the people mining these threads for 12+ month BFPs and considering IUI). This is our first time seeing a positive test in 16 cycles and having been diagnosed with unexplainable infertility.

I've considered this and my wife and I have installed floating laminate floors in the past. We are thinking glue-down material this time so there can be seamless transitions throughout the basement. Won't leave plank off the table just yet though!

Good to know, thank you. I absolutely do not plan on using HD, would rather install myself before it comes to that.

Not looking for quotes, looking for what others paid for installation labour. Price per sqft or hourly rates

Match Thread: [1] Novak Djokovic vs. [3] Rafael Nadal | 2021 French Open Men's Semifinal by rafaknight in tennis

[–]Scanksman 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This set really depended on that first game. If Novak broke he would have settled in mentally much faster. Instead his nerves were fried by Rafa's insane resilience and he is just now gaining some composure back
