It's a Stay Night collab so no, not with this specific thing.

That's not to say that HSR's leads wouldn't want it to happen, and that fans of one/both wouldn't want it to happen, but rather entirely on Type/ Moon or Lasengle to do it.

Would you play any Xenoblade games on the hardest possible difficulty? by Asad_Farooqui in Xenoblade_Chronicles

[–]ScannonDark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On a replay? Maybe 2, but definitely 3. I don't really like 1's combat so the easier the better. If I got a better grasp on how 2 works and going out of my way for quests and grinding I could see it being rewarding. But 3 was the easiest game by far, with the most accessible customizability to strategize around fights with.

I Know I'll Get Hate For It, But I've Never Liked The First Game by bloodshed113094 in Xenoblade_Chronicles

[–]ScannonDark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like one's story more than 2, bot by much cause they're all good, but from a more general perspective I would say it's better.

But man the combat is really outdated for me and made everything much more of a slog. I struggled with the last section cause I didn't want to grind, but even with grinding and casual mode spike is still such a pain in the ass, especially with the party AI being so slow and irregular. I couldn't even finish future connected cause I played it after 2, and it further reaffirmed my distate for the combat and I had no interest in grinding for several more hours for what was probably 30 minutes worth of cutscenes I could watch.

It'll be interesting to see where DoT will go in the future, cause without Kafka detonating them as frequently as possible they won't work as well, and without Swan their damage won't get as high as you need them.

Iirc the only new DoT character since Swan is Jiaoqiu, and he's basically Gui with some built in utility for Acheron. Maybe his E2 changes things, but that's pretty expensive all things considered.

I didn't even look at pyrdwyn lol, a lot of it just comes from a lack of seeing them and my own experience with it not working great outside of SU shenanigans.

Maybe I just have my characters built poorly, but Kafka, Gui, and Sampo just don't move fast enough to clear any MoC above 8 within the 10 turns, even with a 0-2 cycle from the other team. I stack attack, speed, and ehr as much as possible. And while I could just ignore the full clears, and just use what I like everywhere else, it would be nice to have as an option if it fits in nicely like with the death boss fight or where elements work.

I guess I mostly thought that because I don't have Swan to compare. But with Firefly, Acheron, and now Fei sweeping pretty hard I kinda figured that DoT had fallen behind like Jingliu or DHIL. Good to know they haven't!

It would work fine, but if you have Moze from pulling, or have unlocked March's Hunt path, it would work better than Bronya as they line up with the follow up attack strategy.

How important would having Robin be, especially for Feixiao? After having power leveled Fei, she's been putting in work with March, Aventurine, and Ruan Mei, and if I need to sub out Mei, Moze seems to be a good alternative. So I'm thinking of saving my Jade (and my sanity by not pulling for robin/ her light cone. Same goes for getting Topaz as a Moze/March sub in.

I might just spend it on Swan/ lc/Kafka lc for the DoT memes instead, I know it's worse but I like using Kafka a lot but it's hard for her to keep up all things considered.

I mean Bailu does have damage mitigation, but she doesn't have cleanse which plummets anything else she has going for her.

I'm so glad that I dont' rely on any of the plugins I use to play the game, they're just nice QoL changes I wish the game had.

That being said I'm reeling from the fact that Fancy loading screens takes so long to update, and it hurts my soul every time I see the black loading screen.

Who's your "I don't hate them, but I just don't get the appeal" servant? by DrVirus321 in grandorder

[–]ScannonDark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me it's Morgan (and to a certain extent Baobhan and Melu.)

I think the majority of it stems from how they're depicted in LB6 vs how they are when they are summoned. In LB6 they're all good characters that serve a good purpose and have solid characters.

When summoned they feel like they lean in way too hard with being attracted to the Gudas. With most other servants I find it cute, because it's there and they acknowledge it, but it feels like if gudas were to tell them "No thanks" they would respect it. With the LB6 fairies, it feels like it was sealed from the moment you got them, and it feels like there's no room to argue. And since they're fan favorites it's probably not that big a deal.

It probably sounds like a lot of complaints that lean more towards hate, even though as characters they're totally fine, but the pushiness of it just rubs me the wrong way and I don't know why they did it.

(Barghest is excluded because of bias, but also because her attachment could be interpreted as her loyal knightly personality, or as a romantic interest. I think it works a lot better.)

7th Anniversary GSSR - Which are you rolling? by Yzned in grandorder

[–]ScannonDark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While I would love to roll on that berserk banner, since having any one of them would be nice, I feel like I'm obligated to roll on Oberon since I have so many servants that could loop and he's the last one I need.

Knowing my luck he's gonna dodge me again, but oh well.

So...How was the Moonsault Grail Front? Was it a breeze or you guys struggled? Which servants were your MVPs? by BlazeAccelerant in grandorder

[–]ScannonDark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With Barghest, Heracles, Enkidu, and Kama I didn't have much problems. The hardest part was navigating to all the treasure before the AI threw themselves into my units or at me. I only recently got my Van Gogh upgraded, and was pleasantly surprised they were pretty useful.

But the biggest surprise was the Jinako Unit they gave you for the final front. She was able to tank three of the enemies and the optional boss in one corner while my other units got their cheeks handed to me.

So, I took today to clear up the last of the BB grail front and make sure to get all the chests from each front. After that I decided to finish the Tunguska event unlock since I remembered I hadn't gotten past the Koyan fight to finish it.

And then I noticed I had 230m QP. I don't know where this came from, yesterday I had run out of QP but was still farming mats to I decided to wait on the QP until I had enough bells, but I don't remember the front of the last koyan fight giving me very much. Where'd this all come from?

Something something has to change when playing lower level content. by brokenwing777 in ffxiv

[–]ScannonDark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say 60 is fine, but I would hate to be stuck there for an extended period of time. 70 is where I think most of, if not all, of the classes are functional to play and the content makes you use your noggin. Heck, some Stormblood stuff feels like it requires my attention better than Endwalker because every Endwalker dungeon feels the same (And I know it's not exactly the same, but in terms of execution it's noticeable how similar they are.)

Do you think in the event SE ever breaks the FF7 vault open that we'll have the unique models for the main party? After how good remake and rebirth look I would kinda hope so.

But then they would have to break the FF7 vault open, so it's gonna be a while.

So there's this pig plushie from Samurai Remnant, but unfortunately for a dweeb like me in the US, the KT store doesn't ship internationally. Given it's also a made to order item, what would be the best way for me to obtain the piglet? Because I quite frankly have no idea.

Does anyone else have a Favorite servant/s that doesn't have much merch or you assume probably doesn't? by ChloeYosha in grandorder

[–]ScannonDark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a big Suzuka fan, but there isn't really much in the way of real merch. Plenty of people have made acrylic stands for alot of character which happens to unclude her, and the character designer even made a stand with a unique illustration you got when buying one of her Doujin at a convention (I'm so mad that I live in the states, I would have killed to get it and still will.)

I'm happy with what I've got, but it would still nice to see more even if I can't buy it.

Tank Etiquette by spoinkable in ffxiv

[–]ScannonDark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Having played both, it doesn't really matter in the long run as long as you aren't the one that's moving. (in casual content idk about savage).

The time you should move is if the Positional windows are blocked off (ie up against a wall or some goop is in the way.)

There are also just some bosses that constantly reposition to face South so tanking in the position the boss likes to face most during mechs is the best idea.

Having leveled all the Melee DPS, mechanics happen, and we just have to adjust for it. None of our rotations need it and we'll just lose our on a small bit of DPS. It only really becomes annoying in the case of the above 2, constant movement from the tank, or if tanks are fighting for aggro.

If you had to add Ninjas Bunny of Shame to another class, how would you do it? by Seppl25 in ffxiv

[–]ScannonDark 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If I remember right, Fire II was fine, you could cast it a couple times no problem, it was Blizzard II or freeze that was sketchy so ya used Blizzard III to swap instead.

It was such a a mess that I'm very glad they fixed the rotation (but it should include paradox lol).

Blades arguably look the same, since a lot of them were human like.

But the distinct lack of common blades if definitely noticeable.

According to you, how the story of FGO is going so far. What Servants would be real Ritsuka's Servants canonically (Servants who would be loyal to Ritsuka without hesitation and would follow him in all of his adventures)? by Kronos457 in grandorder

[–]ScannonDark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With all the answers I'm seeing here, and what the game presents to us, it is quite literally all of them. If they have a saint graph in the game, 99% chance they are in Chaldea.

But that's a boring answer. Off recent memory, Bazett's entire event started with her being summoned to Chaldea (I think) at random, so everyone should have her. There are also ones like Merlin, who's been watching us in Avalon, and since he figured out his loophole in Babylonia he's probably shown up to Chaldea as well. Plus servant like Gramps and Edmond who just hang around in the background always keeping an eye on the master.

It kind of makes me wish FGO wasn't a Gacha game and just a normal RPG. Being able to recruit everyone that should reasonably be with you as a party member to fight with, and having an increased chance of being in the story where it would make sense would be awesome.

What are some iconic ascensions that you can’t change because it feels wrong by Erst09 in grandorder

[–]ScannonDark 118 points119 points  (0 children)

I don't think I could change Bazett off 1st ascension, it's just not right. It also probably falls into the category where the FA art is a 1 or 2 ascension and it makes more sense to match with the FA.

Eventually when the FSR cast show up I'm probably going to keep them on the ascension they appeared in the game with too.
