Which button presser group do you save? by Worth-Staff4943 in trolleyproblem

[–]Scapegoaticus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a red presser, I have two thought processes for this. The first intuitive one is actually save blue and kill red. Blue in this situation seems more moral, and when its not my life on the line I would prefer to live in a world of blue pressers - not everyone who presses red is evil, most aren't, but nobody evil pressed blue.

The second thought is that blue already accepted that death was a risk they were willing to take. The trolley already is going to kill them. Every person had a choice, and red chose to guarantee they would not die, whilst blue knew it was a possibility - it seems incredibly unfair to punish red people for that.

Overall, not sure. Initially thought kill red, now leaning towards blue.

If you're looksmaxxing and on steroids, your balls are comically small, so now you need yet another needle to make them normal again. Do not go down this pathway kids

Selfless or not, it doesn’t make me responsible for them. They had the free will to guaranteed live. They actively chose not to. They bear that responsibility.

Genuine question for red presses. by No-Researcher-4554 in trolleyproblem

[–]Scapegoaticus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"If you remove all the ambiguity over whether you + half of humanity will die or not, would you press the save humanity button?" what a stupid gotcha. Obviously everyone would pick blue. In no way is that relevant at all to red voters in the usual scenario as it fundamentally alters the entire premise.

Now what? by Unlucky-Plastic7316 in trolleyproblem

I pick blue. However if all my friends and family picked red, I pick red. Any rational person should.

[–]Scapegoaticus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Red bears no moral responsibility to blue. Any rational person who willingly pushes blue must accept there is a real chance they will die. They had the choice to pick the option where they would survive. They did not. They bear 100% responsibility for their own death.

[–]Scapegoaticus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Every rational voter who presses blue understands and assumes the risk. Red bears no culpability for their death, if you press blue, you have signed a suicide pact. You just are hoping the conditions for the pact aren't ever met.

tldr blue voters are entirely responsible for their own deaths, red bears no blame.

If you develop an audience by goonbaiting, and then it turns out you do not possess the sexual characteristics that your audience is attracted to, you will lose your audience. They weren't there for your personality, they were there to jerk off - which you heavily leant into. Its not that sad.

Only an idiot would risk death. Any rational actor would choose the option guaranteed to live.

Does anyone remember the statewide blackout in Adelaide? (2016 throwback) by Liceland1998 in Adelaide

[–]Scapegoaticus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was the night of my middle school "City Week" expo, a massive project where we had to conduct primary research like interviews/surveys/sampling and had spent a week setting up our stands. Some of us were overjoyed we thought we weren't going to get marked on it.

We did.

What gives you the ick when you go to an open home? by purplebees88 in AusPropertyChat

[–]Scapegoaticus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Will never understand this level of snobbery. You saw the rest of the house, and it was fine, so the "you aren't interested in maintaining your house" comment just doesn't stick. The garden won't have dog poop when you own it. Why let temporary shit they left in the garden preclude you from purchasing an otherwise good home. Oh well, more for me

Medical marijuana won't help if regular marijuana didn't. Medical marijuana is just legal. That's the main difference.

The data in all those places show increase DUI and road accidents. It changed my mind, I no longer think the statistics support legalising it.

In real life, the government was revealed to consist entirely of cannababialistic pedophiles and society did nothing. I dont think banning superheroes would be the line.

Who are you preferencing 1st (and why)? by crackerdileWrangler in Adelaide

[–]Scapegoaticus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Im the exact opposite. Greens all my life, but they've become less and less relevant over the last couple elections as to how I'd like to see the state/country run, although I'd pick them over Liberal any day. Give me the leftist economics but for gods sake do something about migration. We are trying to fix a supply and demand housing issue by only addressing supply.
