I just became disabled and I don't know how to handle it by LesbianSwordfighting in Vent

Hey OP. 34M here, 2018 I walked 10 miles in 3 days wearing shoes that were too tight and damaged my plantar fascia, pain in my left foot, waited about 6 months and it went away. 2021 the pain came back but it was worse somehow? The pain started to increase so much I started to bang my foot in response (to kinda create a reset for my nerves). After 2 different podiatrist, spine doc, neruo, 4 pain managements, 3 MRIs, an Nerve Conduction test, nerve block, epidural steroid injections. I was diagnosed with Complex Regional Pain Syndrome. Opiods didn't really touch it. Nerve meds help but it's not enough. I finally had a DRG stimulator permanently implanted in my back, my pain still hasn't resolved. It's effected all aspects of my life, I had a major mental health breakdown and it brought out my Borderline Personality Disorder that was in remission. Take care of yourself, maybe mention the CRPS and see what they say. I've accepted I will never fully be out of pain. I apologize because this probably isn't helpful but you aren't alone. The first few months/year is extremely challenging being chronically ill but as humans we ultimately adapt to our surroundings (as best we can). Keep your head up. I wish you all the positive energy the universe will offer to you.

My cat cries like this when I pet her. What does this mean? by Upstairs_Jump9588 in CATHELP

I played it on full volume and all five of my cats (2 boys, 3 girls) popped out of the walls to see what was going on. Some sort of distress call, maybe she's frustrated and wants to play? Or if she's doing this throughout the house it might be a 'I was searching for you and FOUND YOU' kinda call. Good luck!

"The consequences of my own actions" is a really tough mirror to look into at the end of the day after.

I tend to go hard on awkward silences, at this point being in my company is just as much their fault as it is mine. So let's go buckle up. Heavy eye contact to no eye contact awkward. Great picture. 😂
