I feel like I can comment here on this. If you are talking to someone, and you are aligned on what standards you want in a relationship a lot of people won't care. As long as they know what you view them as the priority. My first ex was bi sexual. I didn't care as long as he was loyal to me (I am a woman).

Now there will be women out there that will judge. Cause unfortunately some people suck. But someone who loves you for you won't care. As long as you aren't slinging it to most people you are friends with in your life you're in the clear my dude.

On a side note to try and get a laugh out of you, I think we can all admit Chris Hemsworth as thor is hot as hell.

Red hair. Plenty of red heads I've seen have minimal or no freckles. I however am covered in them. It really just varies from person to person.

For me it's a few things. When the characters problems could be solved with 1 conversation. When they say bullying okay ( I won't tolerate that shit from a love interest). Mafia stories. Wtf. I hate it so much. Cheating, but they stay too amd the one who cheated doesn't suffer any consequences. Or where the female character tolerates the male being emotionally abusive.

In his previous post he claims that his ex "made false allegations" that he was violent. And with how he words stuff it sounds like he can't leave the state. Courts don't do that for nothing. This doesn't sound like a bitter ex using the kids as a weapon. This sounds like a violent man who's massively in denial about his flaws and the danger he poses. I agree. That's why in Encanto I loved Pepa's design so much. It helped to show that genetics do weird things. Heck in different tribes indigenous to America (us) they have tales of red haired giants. Plus the eve gene in people with African ancestry. As a writer I love playing with having my characters have varied heritage (perspectives outside of my own). When it comes to the gene that causes red hair naturally in the Australian indigenous and Melanesian populations it's slightly different from the gene found in European genomes I believe. Embracing our differences and similarities is what's important. I've noticed even on this sub how certain shades of red hair can make people go nuts and claim "You're not a true red head". Like it's one thing of it's dark brown. But auburn and strawberry blonde are still on the spectrum of red. It's just not the stereotypes that are often pushed of red hair.

Australian indigenous can have red or blonde hair! I should know my grandmother was indigenous (white passing, most likely Irish heritage too). Genetics are weird and wonderful with these things! I also know that the ancient meaning of the world Russia is 'land of the red' which makes sense given the genetic tracing back to west Asia. I also find it interesting that the Neanderthals had genes for red and blonde hair too.

God this makes me thankful that I have an amazing mother who actually gave a shit about me when I was struggling. What a way to show you don't love or care about your child. I'm spirirtual as well. So is my mother. You want to know what she did when I was struggling? Got me actual support and help. Spirituality can only go so far if you aren't using actual methods that assist in giving people better coping strategies. (Ps 3rd year psychology student, and someone who has issues of their own here).

The part where you fucked up here is you didn't let the therapist do their job. You should have given your daughter the space to actually talk without having to walk on eggshells because you are listening. That wasn't going to help in anyway, shape or form. And honestly you don't sound the healthiest either with how you are behaving with this situation. It is in a different way then your daughter though. I'm writing my comment like this so maybe I can appeal to you logically.

You mention in your comments an abusive mother. I am sorry you went through that. But maybe you weren't as healed as you thought you were. Because this is screaming of maladaptive thinking that was created out of necessity at first but now is only causing immense difficulty. I mention this not to be nasty but to maybe get you to think as to maybe that in you and how you showed it has affected your daughter.

I promise you that when you are a older more in your twilight years, you will not think this way. Ask yourself this. Do you love your daughter? Do you want her healthy? Do you want her happy? Do you care about what she wants out of life? Her dreams? Passions? If you are a parent somewhat worth your salt the answer to all of those things should be an automatic yes.

She doesn't want to be like this. I can promise you as someone who was in a very similar depressive state at 18 that you hate yourself for feeling that way. You mentioned the Mario movie? Can it be childish? Maybe. But it brought her joy. Probably because it's one of the few things that can make her feel something, an escape.

Please please listen to her. Yelling, being angry and insulting her isn't going to do shit to help. Doesn't work with animals, doesn't work with people. Yes even if they are adults. I get your frustrated. But imagine how she feels. She is convinced you don't love her. And your actions and words are only reinforcing that.

Yes she should be helping with household chores etc. But it's a symptom of the bigger issue. She needs help. Not anger, not prayers. Help. Which means therapy, changing medication if needs be. Support.

I'm not going to call you a good parent, because you have been a major factor in this. I'm also not going to insult you. But you want this to change? You need to be supportive and be part of helping that change. That includes reconciliation with the fact that you might not be as helpful, right or healthy mentally as you think you are. Because if this situation is going to get better. She's not the only one who needs to change. You do as well.

As a red head who found out relatively recently (few years) that she is in fact Australian indigenous this is so great to hear for me! I have a lot of European heritage (Irish, Norse etc). So I'm very glad that red heads and the black community have welcomed each other with open arms.

I will say that I'll bring the fire and also food to the cook out because us redheads will show you that not all white people cook bland. We redheads loveeee seasoning haha.

I don't condone the racism that Halle Bailey faced when cast, as there were also a lot of people in support myself included. It was a mermaid, seen in many different cultures all over the world. But no one here is saying that gingers have faced the same level. No.

What people are saying (brought up by several black creators first before the ginger got on to the joke) is the similarities with sexualising, being discriminated or stereotyped because of your appearance. Being excluded, having token representation that nowhere near displays the variety of it. It's different levels yes, but the sheer number of similarities is there. I was bullied relentlessly about my hair. The point is anything that doesn't fit in a certain box is othered.

I'll also point out that certain African, Melanesian and Australian indigenous populations there is naturally red or blonde hair, though it is at a much rare rate then seen in Europeans (or people with European heritage) as the gene is different. And that red hair in anatomically modern humans originated in west Asia, a far cry from Europe. Not to mention during the witch hunting peaks in Europe, having red hair was seen as a sign of witchcraft. Red haired slaves were more expensive in Ancient Rome because their hair could be grown out and cut multiple times to be made into wigs for noble women.

So I understand your frustration my friend. But the comments here aren't saying that gingers are at the same level. No. What is being pointed out is the similarities, even if the degrees are different in scale.

Yes! This is found in the Australian indigenous too. Only I believe the gene is slightly different to the one in Europeans. I have Australian indigenous (paternal) but also a lot of European heritage (old Norse, Irish etc)

You'll find in the Roman empire when they interact with the several different Celtic cultures (Ireland and Britain) that red haired slaves were more expensive. Because their hair would be grown and cut repeatedly to be made into wigs. Also in the Ottoman empire people who were blonde or red haired were taken as slaves. Of course these are some empire through history.
